Idefix only said very few from Bukao turn left, not 80%

I can see what Idefix has written thanks very much.

You would do better to quote what he said when trying to make your point instead of writing Mumbo Jumbo.

As a former Baht bus driver I want to clear up a misunderstanding arising from somebody's threadfuck. Unless we've heard that Paps is in town, we've always turned right onto 2nd Road when coming down

They go both ways of course. IMHO the driver flips a coin in his head as he approaches the lights and makes his mind up based on: - where he fancies going - where he thinks the most business will b

Most of them now go straight. Fact.

I'm merely asking him how he can identify which direction they are coming from when they get to the school :allright

And you suggested standing there on the school corner watching them....

Really dumb aren't you?

Is your ego so big you have to lie, anyone can read what idlefix said. You are the only person that says 80% of buses go to Jomtien.I am obviously wasting my time proving a point with you.

Coming west (toward the beach) on Pattaya Tai at Second Rd?

I can safely assure you that the number going straight at that point is zero.

Except for the odd Russian-lover, my old mates still do this now but are waiting to hear that Paps is back, when 80% of them will turn left instead for old time's sake.

. Bushcraft thanks for that, I am sorry that I have been part of the threadfuck but I get fed up of Pappilon ridiculing and browbeating anyone that dares to challenge his assertions.

On reflection, it's more likely closer to 95% of buses that turned left. I can remember only a handful of times the bus turned right.

For you to say that the buses you've been on have ALWAYS turned right, tells me that you have only done the route a few times or you're just an outright Liar or perhaps having a wind up.

Andy Cap has already said that the buses turn both ways. Anyone with any credibility on this forum knows what I've said is correct.

So these baht buses that go from Buakhao to Jomtiem......

On the way back, do they proceed down 2nd to Klang, turn right and then right again onto Buakhao, thus creating their circle?

I personally haven't been on many that turn right at the Tops junction.

I used to get some on Beach Rd that were going to Jomtiem though......

Bloody things need numbers and posted routes!

. This post confirms you are either completely mad, or a serial liar with some serious mental disorder, you as far as I am concerned have no credibility whatsoever.I know you will come back with some further inane comment so in future it will be from me "can't be bothered"

You're right, I stretched the truth a bit. In fact I failed to get a work permit as a Baht bus driver for some unknown reason, so only rode shotgun.

Lord give me strength if you can't recognise an admittedly frivolous but not malicious post, there's no call to be abusive Paps.

What about the performance bonus from the LKMBGA for getting Paps out of the area?

I have done that route 6 times since I have been here this trip. IF 80% ( and the claim is now upped to 95%) turn left, it would mean that I had to change once or maybe twice. So far it has been 100% of the time that I have had to change buses. I never did that route prior to LK Metro reaching "critical mass" but have no reason other then papillons claim that they did18 MONTHS ago to think that there were more then a few that ever did that. With the Russiafication of Jomtien and the few Russians visiting LK Metro / Soi Buhkow, I see no reason for busses to goto directly to Jomitien.

This board is meant to convey current information to people, 1 1/2 years is a LONG time in Pattaya. Ancient history should be in the archive section.

Ok to prove Papillon wrong once and for all.

This afternoon, I stood on the corner for 15 minutes and counted buses as he suggested.

28 total

20 turned right (71%) all but one had passengers

8 turned left (a whopping 29% but no where near 80% or 95%)

of those 8, 5 were empty 3 had passengers

4 of those that were empty stopped at the school to queue up so DID NOT continue to Jomitien leaving about 15% going on

2 or possible all 3 that had passengers looked too be slavic families ( Adult male, adult female and 2 or 3 kids) and most likely a private hire to their hotel.

This leaves a grand total of 1 or 2 that MIGHT have been regular busses and MIGHT have come from LK Metro and MIGHT have been going to Jomtien

2 out of 28 is 7% AT BEST..

MYTH BUSTED for those of you familiar with the TV show Myth Busters.

Goes too show just how crucial it is to post CURRENT information. However, I doubt that the number going on to Jomiten was ever even 25% let alone the 80-95 claimed..

So it must be true!!! Either that or they turn either way..... I'm confused now. Can one bus turn both ways? :clueless

Andy

P.S. I hear some bahtbuses are being fitted with DNA testing machines (you'll just feel a little prick.....) on the right hand pole you use to pull yourself up to get on the bus, the aim being to test for Slavic blood and thence intended destination.

However, the intention in the medium term is to detect American and southern British blood and to branch out into partnerships with dodgy lawyers on paternity suits, which will, in turn, be made by other partners, particularly persistent tailors originating in the sub-continent.

So, in the short term, many more buses WILL INDEED turn left until the second phase of the plan comes online and the bus will go back to turning both ways - as before.

I think this may be Päpillon's point.

I have stayed in the LK Metro area most of the time for the last five years worth of trips (about 10 trips). Although I rarely take the baht bus on the route you are talking about, I will honestly tell you that the majority of my 10 baht rides the baht bus turns right at Second Road and if it has turned left, it has always stopped and forced everyone to get off.

Surprising how fast the 80% claim and this thread dried up once I posted a " boots on the ground" repory. LOL....

Yes, well done.

But I imagine Papillonma sitting at home laughing his socks off.

Yes into the oncoming one way street so everyone can crash and die.

Fiction.

If you are on an LK bus heading to Pattaya South , most turn right and head towards the school and more than you'd think then turn left at the school.

You can get an idea by which lane they are using (if they stay far left then they are going to turn left) and there is little harm in staying on, so if it goes towards Jomtien, bonus. If not, get off and cross over to the school.

I can tell you that the many times I have wanted to ring the bell and get off near the school, that the TG has said wait and sure enough, it went left and kept going.
