More a quick story, but I liked it: 

 

During an 'Ambush Response' training drill a recruit who had fired all his blank ammo crawled into the ditch on the side of the road, opposite to where his aggressors were. He quickly picked up rocks and started throwing them at the aggressors. His DI came running into the middle of the road blowing his whistle and screaming at the recruit: "What the fuck are you doing?". The recruit screamed back: "Throwing grenades Drill Sergeant!'. Without missing a beat the DI screamed: "Out-fucking-standing" and walked away.
