Why not stay over the road in Sabai Inn, 1150 for superior room in high season, 850 in low. Great staff, good rooms and you use Sabai Lodge swimming pool.

I fly from Manchester and been with Etihad twice in last year as they had good deals. They aren't giving any at the mo, so I booked with Qatar in May for £380, fancied a change anyway. Still plenty of time for offers to come through, just depends how long you are prepared to wait.

Main pool at Sabai Lodge on Soi 2 has plenty of shaded areas, opposite end to Walking Street but not far on baht bus.

London - Bangkok Return £380 inclusive of taxes
pauly77 replied to ZAMPA's topic in Airline Discussion
I've booked from Manchester for same price last week in May, been with Etihad the last couple of times and fancy a change anyway although will be surprised if anyone matches that price, especially since the increase in air tax. Also I like the flight times, roll on May! -
That's a really good offer, especially when it would now include the £20 extra air duty imposed by that bastard Gordon Brown. I've travelled with Etihad the last couple of times and would be surprised if even they match that-certainly can't see any other airlines doing so. I am looking at this from a Manchester departures viewpoint, there may be equally good deals on offer sometime from London. I'm looking at dates for booking right now!

why not try Sabai Inn on Soi 2,superior room for 1150 baht booked through their website, room spacious and quiet, electronic safe, use of large pool across road at Sabai Lodge, and good location for access to tons of bars. Walk down to BJ Lodge on Soi 3 for good breakfast.

never yet had a reply from any Eastiny email address, but always get prompt replies from Sabai Inn,maybe it helps sometimes if you have stayed there before. -
1st March Accomodation near Manchester Airport
pauly77 replied to Dr Mick's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Travelodge about a mile from Manchester airport currently advertising rooms for £39,don't think you could beat that. -
Sunshine Vista Serviced Apartments
pauly77 replied to Tengotodo's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
does a single mean you would have to pay guest fee every time you have a tg stay? If not I would say good value, you can go to BJ Lodge on Soi 3 for good breakfast. -
Etihad from Manchester available on those dates for £424 with Airline Network-that's a busy time of year in Pattaya-have you got your accommodation sorted?

I look for around 10 to 11 as I like to get down by the pool and recharge batteries for the evening,I don't like to have a girl stay with me daytime, the"have to meet friend" excuse usually gets the girl up and out and looking for motorbike taxi back to her place with tip tucked away in purse, they are happy.

I've stayed in the top hotels in Pattaya when I first started coming on package holidays i.e Royal Cliff,Dusit Resort,Royal Garden, obviously nice hotels and facilities but problems with taking back girls, but there are so many hotels around the 1000 baht a night mark with all the facilities you need and no hassle with girls I would never dream of staying in a flash hotel again.

Flown with Etihad from Manchester twice this year, got back 21st Dec,was quite surprised that there was plenty of spare seats on all the flights, getting a bit sick of the sight of Abu Dhabi airport but at a price of £399 it's a no brainer. The airline is expanding rapidly and delivery of new planes not keeping up-on Abu Dhabi to Manchester we had a leased plane with no seat back entertainment-I didn't mind as I just wanted to sleep and actually had more legroom as there was no bloody footrest to contend with. I would have been pissed off if I had been in business class as they just had a cou

Visited this place several times,it's on Soi 6/1,a pub that does food, especially liked the Sunday roast 3 course they did for about 250 baht. They get the Sunday papers in the same day so good for reading the sports reports. Tried the breakfasts a couple of times but too much for me

A one Royal Cruise on Soi 2/3 has large well equipped gym,but is full of Jap tour groups and not girl friendly.

Areca v. BJ Holiday Lodge v. Sandy Spring
pauly77 replied to PB Chris's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
I find your reply to my posting about the different locations very offensive, the price of getting about the area didn't come into it,I simply expressed my opinion about the relative merits of the locations. If you are going to start posting messages I suggest you learn some manners or you are going to fall out with a lot of members. -
SOI L.K. METRO (CENTRAL PATTAYA)
pauly77 replied to mulphy's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Just back from 3 weeks in Pattaya,I cut through Soi LK Metro a few times and got to say the place was dead every time, not many punters in the bars and even fewer girls,if it's like that in December, what's it going to be like off season? The sign above the entrance says Soi LK Metro-where the action is,ironic or what. There are just so many much livelier areas in Pattaya to visit. -
Areca v. BJ Holiday Lodge v. Sandy Spring
pauly77 replied to PB Chris's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
They are in different locations, depends on your preference, for me Soi 13 is now too built up,not keen on location of Areca Lodge down by Soi Bukaow,I would choose BJ Lodge, nice seaview rooms at 1200 baht high season, relatively quiet location but very handy for bars on Second Road, can walk to Soi 6 and short baht bus ride to 7 and 8. -
I'm there from 30th Nov for 3 weeks, hotels sorted, check out 20th Dec,when I notice the prices in the main hotels shoot right up,almost certainly fully booked anyway-so long as you don't require the facilities of the big hotels, swimming pool etc,I'm sure you can still get fixed up,but you will be paying peak season prices-good luck.

Lek hotel is more quantity than quality, not to my taste. Thumbs Up on Soi 6 does a huge plateful of English breakfast with a very large mug of coffee for 115 baht-I couldn't manage it! Just noticed this is my 100th post-congrats to me!
-
I'm going to be there from 30th Nov for 3 weeks, was also there in June, don't usually go this time of year but great flight price on offer with Etihad so made late booking, obviously no discounts available on hotels so paying a bit more than in June, but only to be expected.

sabai inn vs. bj's holiday lodge
pauly77 replied to ssornek's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
I stayed at both last June and would recommend both, Sabai Inn had great offer on of 700 a night for standard room, large with good furniture, huge bed and lovely bathroom with large enclosed shower, nice verandah to sit on and watch the world go by, and use of pool at Sabai Lodge across road. BJ being fairly new, rooms are very well decorated, good quality fittings, large fridge, seaview rooms with balcony and nice swimming pool on second floor, and good value restaurant, 1000 a night in summer. You can't go wrong with either, why not try them both, easy to walk from one to the other with a suitcase. -
For 700 baht a night you can get a room in low season at Flipper House just up the road in Soi 7, hotel facilities with lovely rooftop swimming pool, stay there and go to Rosie O'Gradys for breakfast and/or evening meal as food is good, with big portions.

hotels with big enclosed showers..
pauly77 replied to ssornek's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Sabai Inn on Soi 2 has nice tiled bathrooms and shower runs length of bathroom with sliding doors, could fit 4 easily ! 700 a night in low season-great value. Shower in BJ Lodge is open in corner of bathroom, floor would be flooded with more than one under shower ! -
Sure you don't mean Sabai Lodge, those prices don't sound right for Sabai Inn, if it is Inn no way would I pay those prices.
