  1. Sorry about that teelack, I am in the UK so no issues. Quite gripping stuff. Although I have had my fill of snooker for a while now.
  2. If you leave and return just before it expires, you will get another 60 days, which can then be extended for a further 30 days within the country., This can amount to near 9 months total, providing visa is obtained close to date of travel.

  4. Many year ago I seem to recall some airlines offering miles that never expired. It appears they all ultimately changed their minds on that one. This rechargeable card business seems complex...... they could send me a cheque or direct deposit! I have many many 'miles' expire as I rarely build up enough of them to be of any use. Price is my reason for booking with a particular airline these days, my time of swanning around on the company ticket has passed.
  5. If they cancel his flight why would they also demand their money back?

  7. If they were like cash, they would NEVER expire... I believe my remaining ones expire this month.

  9. Well sorry to say I am no fan of CDG airport....but like you have lost my affiliation to Etihad, mainly because I couldn't find a reasonable priced fare in Biz Class. In the past their FF deals were generous, Never was a fan of their lounges in Abu Dhabi, too small, Manchester one was great. I have quite a few gadgets I ordered from them to utilize expiring FF miles. Airlines evolve....

  11. I was watching it last night too.... Was doing so in Thailand last week and now continuing here in the UK... too bloody cold to be out! Good chance a Chinese guy will win it!
  12. From 35 DegC to -1 and snow! Globall Warming my ass!

  14. Yeah, likely equally as bad.. my hop from Helsinki to Manchester on Finn Air was horrible and supposedly Biz Class! Pity about BA Club Class, in the 90s my preferred choice for many years. I stopped using them actually due to the horrible Pre Term 5 transfers at LHR and bad service, attitude and numerous let downs. I do not see them surviving in their present format with the competition from the ME Carriers.
  15. The Thai equivalent is Posted from my motorbike so I blame any spelling errors on that.

  17. Bloody freezing in UK...where is spring?

  18. Haven't they knocked this place down yet? Everything around it seems to be going... it was marked for a major renovation a few years ago but when Indians and Russians started coming in large numbers it got a bit of a reprieve.
  19. I make a point of not checking fares once I have bought my ticket...

  21. Surely you cannot compare BA Economy and Club class and only come up with cutlery? How about food that actually needs cutlery?
  22. Well done!

    Visas

Cambodian Border at Pailin (presuming you are in Pattaya area).....due East. Plenty of Visa Run outfits running mini-buses out that way, offering a package breakfast in Pattaya, early, crazy drive to the border, over and back, then scary drive back arriving back around 6-7 hours later. Here is one outfit.
  24. Hellish hot riding around. Beware road rage, easy to lose it when stuck behind dithery drivers.
