Wrong, I know some who do not even have a mobile phone..... They have a club and meet in restaurants, so far never more than one has managed to make it at the same time or day.

I had a project in Kuwait and have also been bored to tears in the airport. I don't have recollection of Kuwait Air being any good though, frankly the opposite, although mostly did the short hop to Bahrain from there.

Most of the workers are Indians, Pakistanis and Filipinos. More of a concern would be flying the National Carriers of countries involved in perceived anti-Islamic actions. Air France, US Carriers, El-Al, BA etc etc. More concerned that Emirates tickets are going to be more expensive due to a levy imposed to pay for new terminals and renovation in Dubai. These Middle East carriers may also become more expensive as oil revenues decline.

I have had them sit in my 'Outbox' when using the phone though..... , also I often switch off Wi-Fi/ Network and then the email could be there some time unSent. As to getting lost...going straight into Spam is a possibility.

You should of course ask a lawyer, but I can understand you being wary of one. You can get free advice from one at one of the Expats Clubs in the Pattaya area. I would not trust her promise to pay back 'later'.......do you have any lien or ownership yourself or is it in her name? My first thought was you have got off relatively lightly and if you can afford to walk away from it, I would do that.
