You have to worry for them. If the booths did stop accepting their currency, many could be stranded here without funds. Many may cancel if they thought they could not exchange their money, and are they still selling USD/Euros in Moscow. The Russian rouble was not on the list for currency exchange when I was sat in the Bangkok Bank yesterday, It is on their internet list. It is still on the SCB internet page at 0.34 baht, used to be parity.

They will be desperately trying to change their roubles into property surely, even at inflated relative prices. The locals were very tolerant in this case, but I don't think that is what generally happens. I once saw a guy get attacked for knocking a motorcycle helmet off a seat as he tried to squeeze through after exiting Nevada A-Go-Go. Intriguing how this guy was so well tolerated.

Beer bar areas have sprung up in new places to replace the old areas that vanished, not so many on Beach Rd now, Some are centres for very low prices (New Plaza). Soi 7 still has a lot too. Bar Fine prices.... beer bars can be 300-700 baht, an LT 1500-2500, again beer bar. GG Bar prices, Check this out.
