  1. Snatch.
  2. There you go manipulating the stats again Gary...... That figure, 25,000 baht per month might be a median number, but not an average. Those sweeping the verge as I rode past this morning would aspire to 1/10th of that and if my missus learns of that figure she will be asking for a rise!
  3. Yes, the curfew seems to be having the opposite effect than that planned.
  4. The Italian Job.
  5. Surprised me slightly, as when I see a PCX they appear so much wider than my bike..... and yes MM I can appreciate the rising anger stuck behind someone who won't squeeze through when the 95 degree sunshine is beating down on your helmet. It seems harder when there is a lot of Krung Thep traffic in town as they seem to pack it tight.
  6. As a slight aside, but somewhat relative to the 'size' of the PCX MM (and other PCX owners), how do you feel wrt worming your way to the front at the lights. I squeeze through on my Nuovo, but anything bigger.... nope.
  7. I daren't admit as to what I first thought it meant!
  8. Mike Myers...... (avoiding potential dead ends)
  9. Yeah, saw a few programs on TV while in the UK about uncovering fake electric toothbrush heads, razors, rolling baccy etc and such made in China, being mailed into the UK. Was it another Dominic Littlewood episode?
  10. What are 'Body Corporate Fees'?
  11. You have a point, my odd afternoon sessions had me recoiling in horror Dracula style when exiting the darkened Nevada A-Go-Go into bright afternoon sunlight.
  12. A BIz Class flight would cost about £2,000, give you a 50KG baggage allowance, and you could wear 20kg worth. Don't forget to pay your VAT. Try one of the shipping companies, someone I know recently shipped 1/2 a truck load of stuff overseas and the price was in the hundreds, not thousands.
  13. That would NOT include the big annual type items, medical insurance, flights home etc. No rent though, as I own the house, sort of! But it does include monthly expenses, like electricity, water, 'allowance' for the Mrs, food, nights out. My local bank account shows total withdrawals for the month, and since I pay for most things in cash, and the credit card is a deduction on said account, I can readily see what each month entails.
  14. Back in LOS!

  15. On my way 'home'.....

  16. I seem to average 80k-90k per month, but I live in a largish house with a number of monthly bills. I also dread certain times of year when insurances/ renewal type items come in. (Medical insurance, vehicle insurance for eg). Elec 3k,water 1-2k, (fucking garden), cable TV cheap (sophon), internet 700, pcm..then extras like pool service, bug spraying, gardening and the missus!
  17. I caught one with 6ft legs coming out of the Mercure once and asked her 'did you finish your work yet'? After an instant of confusion she said 'yes, finish work now, go home!'...... Perhaps your chubby girl got chucked out...
  18. Thaivisa were reporting Facebook as down across Thailand, then clarified it as 'some areas'. I like the idea they were testing their options as social media can run rings around these information blocks. How about twitting tweeting.....is that still working? I am flying back to interesting times.....
  19. My last UK morning, it is raining!

  20. Catch a completed ST exiting your hotel for sloppy seconds.
  21. 'all flights'????? All flights yet only 'some passengers'??
  22. Christopher Walken
  23. Yes, well done, I had forgotten Jeddah.......... I was never too keen on Riyadh but it worked.... I hated the City more than the airport. Most recent times I flew through Qatar I used the Premium lounge, and only ever transferred there, that place was very good. but the bus system was awful!
  24. It used to be just before soi 6/ Bangkok bank, but has moved further down close to Nua and the Dolphin now. It is in the Pattaya Bazaar now. Website I once paid for a ticket by walking to the Bangkok Bank and making a transfer to their account.
