I am paying 3000 baht a year and you suggest something costing me 24,000 baht plus hardware and installation charges? I actually have 2 redundant dishes on the house already and returned a box that was in the house when I moved in because I got fed up of dealing with the morons who couldn't make it work. 200 channels...yeah like DTV (freeview) in the UK, mostly garbage. I would only want to watch an odd game or two a week and I do see some on ESPN with sophon.

Yeah I got this scam attempt when checking out of one place. I think it was 500 baht for some shitty old towel that was older than the TGF. Fortunately I had a bit of spare time and refused to pay and insisted on seeing the 'stained' towel. They produced a towel with a slight green stain from my shaving gel, which the TGF took off to the toilet and removed in seconds. Another scam attempt. I don't mind if some customer damages things in the room after a drunken rock-band party, but stains on towels is wear and tear and a blatant scam. That hotel doesn't care I never went back, always busy.

I often transited in Heathrow to the USA and had a long wait for my onward USA connection. The Business Class lounge used to have a sleeping room with loungers and I often nodded off in there. Not sure how this works these days with damned mobile phones. There was a group of Indian women they had to keep throwing out of the main terminal at Heathrow years ago, they hung around in there all day.

Makro is on Sukhumvit just south of Jomtiem beach side. When you watch TV or read adverts here, you get a bit saturated on fucking condos for sale. Apologies to the OP.

They are harder to get, most certainly in high season. Most coming over from Jomtiem are already well filled. If you want to get one back you queue at the school corner or pay taxi rates.

In the 'old day' when you could get a baht bus, the RG was a good location. Still, not too far to Walk to Walking st.

I agree with MM on this. I normally pay 1500 baht to get to the airport. Comfort and being sure the guy will arrive, drive sedately and safely and keep quiet is worth it. Yes it is 50% more. Coming back, less concerned, I might use Toom for 1000 baht. As I live remotely I am often worried another guy will find my place, but I think if I lived in Jomtiem near the bus station there, I would be on that big cheap thing.

I thought 15 days only applied if you crossed into Thailand by land. Perhaps London has it wrong. I confirm your 15 day statement according to this. I see now what you are getting at...(I also see you have posted the same question on Thai Visa Forum.) You are unsure how long you get on an extension of stay for the 30 day tourist visa. One source I visited suggested you would get a 30 day extension the first time, but I would feel happier if someone, perhaps also from Poland, could confirm this from first hand experience.

With a single entry you get 30 days. With a double entry you can have 2x30 day stays. With a triple entry 3x30 days. I believe Poland do not need a visa, so you could fly in and get 30 days any-time.

So yours does that too...(sneak cosmetics into the cart)...I stopped bringing mine, cut my bills by half easy! And to stay on topic, I think I need 2 drinks fridges!

I tried Macro a few times but it is too far out of the way for me as I live North of Pattata. Although I do buy non-perishable items in sort of bulk. If I am down to a single bottle of mouthwash I go and buy 3...... How many baht would a typical haul like that hit you for......? And imagine what it would cost in Villa.......

I think a dishwasher (other than the TGF type) is rather overkill for a single guy living in a 'studio'..... I know they are big in the USA but personally I can have the job done by the time you stack one, nor do I have the quantity of crockery that would allow me to leave the dishes for a few days. I have always felt them to be a complete waste outside a restaurant kitchen.

I have got used to seeing fridges as tall as I am, I have 2 here in LOS, and another waist height one like the one pictured. It is enough for a single guy living in a condo. Half a case of beer, a bottle of milk, some mouldy cheese, orange juice and a few soft drinks would likely fit in. If you are they type to cook a 25lb turkey for Christmas I doubt the fridge, or the condo are big enough.
