  1. As someone else said there will be some B matches that probably drag on an hour or six. But to watch the whole programme, Las Vegas is GMT -8, Thailand you should know, how to add together, well you should know that too. If you come up with -1 hour difference, ask some of your mates to help you, if you can get them to stop giggling at the lonesome guys wearing wigs!.
  2. Saturday 2 May 09 (20:00) Ricky Hatton v Manny Pacquiao Tickets MGM Grand Garden Arena Las Vegas, United States Seating Plan £275 - £2750
  3. Mick, you got off lightly. Deposits are often not returned here. I had to shell out 50k in Pattaya, 20k security plus 2 months. Been here a bit and the evidence of a past cheap renovation is showing through. Probably all be my fault....... Looks like a nice 'little' house.
  4. I bet you have.... but keep posting, the board provides the critique, much more entertaining than editing them first. It's the damned heat Joe, it's relentless. Add Mae Hong Son to the list, very pleasant weather permitting.
  5. And in each one of those 12 sqm bars, there are 50 girls packed in like sardines in a can! You are beginning to remind me of BigD..... let that be a warning. Will you be taking a holiday from the Forum during this time?
  6. Just in this thread then eh Joe? But the reality is you rarely state your opinion clearly, but like to bury it under a layer of sarcasm, a layer of twist and turn, and one of smoke and dissemination....then you try to be 'smart' on top of that. Then I think you ejaculate over the lovely cake you made for yourself. I agree, the OP discrimination is not based on religion.....in the slightest. The dislike mentioned to me by the few Thais from lowly circles does mention a religion.
  7. My problems with lost baggage reduced somewhat (touch wood) when I stopped flying through London, which I see is mentioned above.! The last instance was actually KLM with a tight connection in Amsterdam. My name was announced in the baggage claim and I was told the suitcase didn't make it. So I went home and it arrived not long later via courier at the house before I finished my second cuppa!
  8. Good deal, I will be using them at the end of the month myself. (Also booked via Gazelle). My outbound flight was spoiled though by a couple of extemely drunk English yobs generally making a nuisance of themselves. My thoughts at the time were 'free upgrade...
  9. Anybody who comes forth with a statement like that has obviously never got into an argument with an Arab or an Indian!
  10. You coming to LOS then Rick?
  11. You said 'visit or live', then it was 'choose to visit'....whatever Joe, bend it, twist it, shake it, only James Bond would know the difference in the Martini. I took a stab at your Nationality, but do not know for certain, just snippets from previous posts pointed me. Where I chose would get you bad mouthed someplaces, you seem to think you might too, so point stands. Some Thais express dislike I said, hostility you said...bend it shake it! The Scots visit England a bit too........and vice versa.......
  12. Are you asking about small binoculars, or some exotic creature? Sounds sarcastic but I really am confused.
  13. Silly idea, for me, there aren't that many though. You have a decided advantage in that match due to nationality. Ah, now a different question, keep asking different questions until we get the answer we want eh? To this one NONE. Yes better once wrote than once wise!
  14. Perhaps a certain radicalism within a particular religion. As far as visiting tourists are concerned, Thailand doesn't care where they come from. How they are received was lumped in with the original point of discussion. Although particularly in Pattaya. Yes, I worked in one or two.....but please show me where...despised you in the manner you insist Thais show towards Muslims? I said this?..... go back and reread without putting your slant on it. No, I know they are not, I am quite aware of the expanding borders....but I will tell YOU some thing, those guys are not regarded as real Muslims by many of their brethren. Nationality was not mentioned,..... a religion was. A lot of lumping there I suppose!
  15. Let me put it a little more clearly. Many Thais I know, who are Buddhists or agnostics, speak ill of Muslims, and expressed a dislike of them. In a couple of instances, I would have said hate was a valid word. They mentioned some attrocities in the South, and reacted to TV reports. Plus I bet there is one Thai lady (at least), who has yet to recover her husband's head from a Saudi Arabian fridge, who developed a dislike too.
  16. Quite a well presented speech, with a very valid content. Rightly I am extremely worried what Gordon Brown is doing to my country, starting with a currency that has rendered 30% of my working life wasted! He sees himself as the worlds financial expert, but there are no prior lessons for fixing these problems, but there were plenty of common sense rules twisted and ignored that caused them. I ask you, what idiot would buy some sub-prime debt wrapped up and presented to you as grade A stock? (With other people's money) Greenspan he ain't. Bigus... yes our politicians are quite eloquent, and can be well educated, but few can be trusted. And few might be optimistic!
  17. Translation.... Joe thinks BD is a bullshitter, but he wants to appear smarter than the others who post such comments frequently and less cryptically..
  18. Perhaps where you live Joe, I have most certainly heard many Thais speak ill of Muslims My circles may not be as well educaded or erudite as yours, but Thais they are. As to knowing that there are some mosques in Pattaya, yes, they set the dogs off in proximity of my bedroom daily. Mosques are strategically positioned to the expressways and major roads and even obvious to one landing at Bangkok's major airport. Nice of someone to donate the money for these.
  19. I just returned from Singapore and found it pretty expensive. As a tourist, I will convert to another currency....for Thai baht, multiply by about 25. For £ divide by 2. It looked worse in baht as you compare to Thai prices..... £ didn't make me feel good either. They are having problems there with falling tourist numbers and manufacturing laying people off. It has always been overpriced and devaluation makes sense.
  20. Or a few bucks less the aisle seats and then stick your legs out there!
  21. Same same.....
  22. So it's waiting to happen at the Sandy Spring....
  23. It's down in the south, it is quite a big city and even has an airport. Quite convenient for a visa run to Malaysia via Sadao. Perhaps my point has been lost in the 5 weeks since I posted.
  24. Well you sound well set up, when you thinking of retiring?
