Airbus and Boeing products running behind schedule
jacko replied to BigDUSA's topic in Idle Chit Chat
So the original schedule incorporated about a years delay between current point and delivery with an 'IF'????????? -
Emails are easily 'forged'....I often receive one or two, that appear to come from a friend, in reality they have just cloned his ID and are using his contacts list. The only option I can think of is to 'Show Full Headers'.......and if you can make any sense of the gobbledygook that appears..... clever man!

Tom, the ping and tracert just try to find the route .... you open a command prompt or dos environment and give it a try. I am not using a proxy myself and able to work with pattayatalk now. Don't go thinking of me as an expert, MM has a better idea by far!
-
Yeah ping doesn't seem to get past my modem/router as I tried to ping a few bangkok servers. I switched off my router/modem firewall and got a bit further with a ping... Reply from 209.58.96.109: TTL Expired in Transit..... That IP says it is in Bogota, Colombia which has really confused me, and scared me a bit. Firewall back on!

Thanks Tom would appreciate the feedback. Saw the Non-Imm O offered by a few visa outfits here in Pattaya. A change of rule as always were 'only from home country' in the past. I am wondering if they are just offered as a route to the retirement extension, for those who came in with a waiver or tourist visa?

ping timed out. tracet just get a load of 'request timed out' after mygateway. So no further than my front door? Perhaps my router/modem blocks such commands? (Surprising since I can now access Pataya Talk) TTTMaxnet in Pattaya looking suspicious.
-
Not old enough to get a retirement extension Mick?I see Non-Imm O is available from neighbouring countries now (Laos and Penang), have to be asking if multiple is available....... I hope to get 15 months out of my current one, but that would take me to Dec/Jan, no way I want to fly to UK in winter, so may look to get a Non-Imm O from one of the above.

Convenient for Soi Bhua Khao, but beter be home before X-Cyte starts to empty and the OK Corral show starts! -
As I said the proxy got me in, but was slow, full of extra adverts and I couldn't post anything, even edit an old post. Reset on my router seems to have sorted it, but still slow. I think Joe mentioned that a new provider will be coming on-line soon, True or not!. I also notice TOT and TTT are making some good offers lately, perhaps trying to lock you into their crappy service for a year...... rather than have you change ISP. I noticed the ADSL modulation type changed on my service not long back, now ADSL_2+. I had high hopes of a better service but alas. Thanks for the feedback Tom!.

Here in LOS, Pattaya and TT&T MaxNet, having a terrible time getting in to the board. Mozilla is often giving me a messege, 'Connection Interrupted', Page contains no data etc etc. This went on for ages this morning, so I tried a proxy server (USA). That got me in but it was slow and I couldn't post ...anything. Reset my router and got in now ... slow...slow...slow... I recall MM mentioning some issues, but I didn't grasp it. This has been going on for over a week. The boards new server? Problems at Maxnet... Problems at some pipe? It's worse than when I used the GPRS connection...... I seem to be able to get European sites OK, Yahoo and all that! Anybody can enlighten me?
-
To be honest I was surprised to see he did so well on the English, you do see some whoppers in LOS!.
-
Who mentioned English before you? He should have offered 'tapas'....
-
Maybe not, I have a trip to the old country coming up!
-
Then you missed his 'top 10 GO-GOs for Stunners' post, which seemed to show some depth of experience. He has also posted a bit of a review on Hell Club. Have you read outside of a Mistys thread?

I don't have permission to post a new topic in this forum, but here is a link to April09 Nightmarch, from the Pattaya Today Newspaper. It's a good read for those who live here. http://www.pattayatoday.net/index.php?acti...ews&id=5445

Rather, and the not insubstantial number that specifically came and retired here for that reason too. I could afford to live in the Uk, but would rather not give money away unnecessarily.

Britons Say 'yes' To Child-free Zones On Planes
jacko replied to bigdelta's topic in Airline Discussion
But Rick, in the UK having lots of children means having enough money to be on the flight in the first place. Child support, keeps many going....... I am a grump, kids and flights don't mix, especially long hauls. My BKK-UK flights are often ex OZ so the kids have slept for several hours, are full of beans and bored stupid. Sadly children are no longer of the 'seen but never heard' variety. This sounds like a good idea, a playground on the new A380s..... . -
Nine hours is ridiculous, not even a 'connection'.....I think I draw the line at the connection being a longer haul than the flight!
-
Ya think....... When you go away for a bit, who do you think tells the thieves which house is open for attack? Best thing is good neighbours who actually have eyes in their heads.

Board seems to be going along fine. You takes advantage of the free advertising, you take the risk of being critiqued. Mulphy couldn't take it, PSP seems to be doing very well under more of an onslaught. The board is here to service the members, not members' bars. (I think.....)
