  1. I have known two gals that have died of Aids. One was a katoey. I know of one other that has it and has gone back to the village to die. I also know of two gals who drank themselves to death. One was lesbian. And I knew one gal who died of malnutrition. But as been said, most that are ill don't talk about it. Little Roy
  2. So many bars have closed since I first came here nearly 18 years ago. A few I miss...like the old Vicky Bar on Soi 8 that was torn down with others for another hotel to be built. And the Bamboo 2 that was situated in the side alley leading to the yuck toilets. Had six gals from there, including the owner who was the best of the bunch. The one place I miss the most is the Maxim Go-Go in Bangkok that was above the Heidelburg Restaurant on Soi 4. Met some great gals there. But I don't miss going to Bangkok now since I have my Lady in Pattaya. Little Roy
  3. My lady (of 9 wonderful years) once told me she felt she was stupid. She definitely is not. I told her that the reason there are things she doesn't know is because no one taught her those things. I explained that I can't fly an airplane (not entirely true) but that didn't mean I was stupid. Just that no one taught me. And before I brought her to the States the first time I explained that when she got hungry for Lao food she couldn't go to the street and buy from a vendor. She looked at me as if I were nuts. But now she understands that most places in the world are "not same Thailand." She has been to the States twice now and loves it. There are other things, but I won't bore you. She is soaking up knowledge like a sponge. Stupid? Nah. Not this gal. Little Roy
  4. My lady and I go there once every week. Yes, there has been some changes in the service staff, but our experience has been good anyway. We like to sit out from under the roof where it is quieter. Was there Saturday night before the King's birthday. Good food and service. Unfortunately it will be awhile before I get back there as I have returned to the States to do the Christmas "stuff" with the family. See you next year! Little Roy
  5. I voted for the scanner. It pays to advertise.......... Little Roy
  6. The lights are working out pretty well....at the moment. They will be even more appreciated by the tourist during high season. My worry is that they will not be maintained any better than anything else here. Yes, I still see people ignoring the lights. Mostly bike riders. Cars and taxis seem to be getting used to them. And sooner or later someone WILL be killed when the lights are ignored by some drunk and/or nut case. I wonder how many city politicians are now enjoying their new BMWs or Mercs. The graft take must have been huge. TIT Little Roy
  7. Please don't buy a used bike or a new bike. Or even rent one. You will live longer! There have been many threads here about the dangers of biking in Pattaya. And they are all true. Little Roy
  8. I rode serious bikes for years all over the States. No problems. Rented a bike in Pattaya and a Thai gal driving a BMW sideswiped me and put me in a hospital. It doesn't matter how good a biker you think you are, or how careful you think you are, in Pattaya you are just a accident looking for a place to happen. Little Roy
  9. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Except maybe for the sound levels.......? Little Roy
  10. Sad news all around. Bob, the best of luck to you and yours. Little Roy
  11. I hope that when I grow up I won't turn out like that guy! Little Roy
  12. If a sports team wants me to be a walking 'billboard' for them, they can pay me. Fuck 'em. They have too much money already. When I wear a cap it has my name on it....in Thai. I also have a cap that says in Thai, "Tosacan". What does that mean? Look it up. Little Roy
  13. Have we met? You seem to know me well! In all honesty there are things listed there that I haven't done yet. Maybe tomorrow? Little Roy
  14. I like the new cap that has the 'N' on it's side so it looks like a 'Z'. It's referred to as a "Zoo York" cap. Seems logical to me. Little Roy
  15. Haven't seen the bartender, but I swear I have BF'd some of his sisters. Not more than once, though. And they weren't nearly as intelligent. Little Roy
  16. Suggestion: Book another hotel, then have a look at this place after you get to Pattaya. Change if you like. Personally I would not book a place when I have so many questions and no answers. Little Roy
  17. Thanks for the info. Will avoid that one. I hope Ergodyne sees your post. Possibly he can give some insight. Little Roy
  18. Which Tony's was that? I used the one on Soi 16, and except for a short time when it had a Thai man as manager i was treated very well. A member there for over three years. Little Roy
  19. Mine wasn't like that, damn it! But she was a gorgeous creature with big (pointless) bazooms. I remember the first time we made love. She came quickly, and then apologized. I told her not to worry about it. "That was just your first one" I said. She had fear in her eyes. The relationship didn't last very long. Little Roy
  20. Had a GF once who was pointless. Inverted nipples! Little Roy
  21. So true, so true. I will have to share this one with friends. Little Roy
  22. Thanks, Pete. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." (I heard that somewhere.) Little Roy
  23. At that price it probably is just a shell. Finishing could bring the price up quite a bit, especially for the location. Be careful. Little Roy
  24. Most hospitals have walkers and canes for sale. I needed a cane for a short period of time last year as I was having sciatic nerve problems. Bought a good quality aluminum cane at Pattaya International Hospital on Soi 4. Not expensive. Happy to say I don't use it anymore. But....you never know. Little Roy
