  1. From what I understand off the Chicago Thai Embassy website if you can jump thru all the hoops to get a Non-Imm O , then you have also jumped thru the hoops needed for a retirement . They even want the Illinois Secretary of state to notorize four different documents, each document a chore in itself to get accomplished. Do yourself a favor and get a retirement visa while in Thailand, once you're there I guess they don't mind if you stay.
  2. Thai's love money. The less money a Thai has the more they love money. The ATM is where the money is, like a bar for alcoholics, like a bar for sex aholics, a dictionary or potion nbr9 for spell lovers. Just natural to like to spend time at the fountain of money.
  3. well done condostreet, I am writing your monicure down for when I need someone to sell mine.
  4. does 'opposite' mean across Sukhumvit ? West of Sukhumvit I'd go, east is too difficult for me.
  5. If the ice melted, wouldn't the water from the ice interfear with the taste of the scotch? Best to use ice cubes (if cubes are best) made from distilled water. This is the last comment I will be making in this thread BECAUSE I drink and enjoy "100 Pipers". It isn't Chivas Regal but came out of the same stills with the same ingrediants.
  6. How could single malt be consistant in taste from one distilling to another. I just don't see how the single malt can remain the same from one bottle to the next unless you got lucky and had two bottles from the same barrel. Buy 100 Pipers when in Thailand, who are you trying to impress anyway.
  7. In short: " It is a Fuctuating experience. Some times higher and sometimes lower but always at a price you accept" The optimum for most is to realize that it IS a monetary transaction so act accordingly. Thin has to be balanced with age and looks, both hers and yours, in order to get a happy satisfying transaction (not LB, an exchange of money for goods or services).
  8. Saw a sign advertising bottled Carlsberg on Soi 7, one of the restuarants that isn't Mexican food.
  9. At least tell us where the complex is, square meters, and monthly rent; so we will know what a good deal is for a condo/apartment
  10. I stopped in several convienense stores last night and none had water. Plenty of girls along beach road and many seemed to be in the beer bars (I seldom go to gogos) but not an over abundance of slim ones. Prices were the same as far as I could tell. I'd be sure of having a room before coming though.
  11. No doubt many cretins and LDOPS are among them, however most are Thai's with families. Quite a few have the 2nd home/weekend get away here in Pattaya already.
  12. when I took that flight out of LAX there were about a dozen rows by the windows that had nobody sitting there. The Thai stewardesses went up and down the rows asking THE THAIS if they wanted to move to those empty rows so that they would have a row all to themselves. The falangs were not offered. Screw that, I'll never fly then again.
  13. Two pills? Two different pills or two of the same pill? I'd thank you for the name of the pill?
  14. I think the basic requirement from BMs is that they don't get diarhea or some other stomach ailment from their food. It is my understanding that all too often this requirement isn't met, at many different establishments.
  15. Yes, the sausage is dangerous. However I can't remember anyone dying of the sausages. Most all the breakfast meats are NOT cooked long enough. The ham is probably the safest to eat.
  16. OK, there is a difference in eggs. I only knew there was a difference in size and age, otherwise they are pretty much the same. Guess not.
  17. This is not an attempt at an arguement. I would like to know what the difference is between a cheap egg and an expensive egg. I have eaten quite a few eggs in my life, I am not sure ( yes I am sure) that I ever knew I'd eaten a cheap egg. Please explain so that I will know in the future.
  18. www.kayak.com I use this one almost always. I got STL to BKK via Chicago/Korea for $1230 USA first week of October, this was July 17th. I think the sweat spot is 60 days out. Of course you can wait and always hope for better, it does happen.
  19. True for many questions, however the OPs' website is for his condos that he rents out regularly; this condo is not his. This is the condo of a friend of his so portions of the website perhaps don't apply.
  20. Is there an in room safe? Will the air condtioners be maintaned as well as in your other units?
  21. Just booked the same Asiana, goes STL (UA) to ORD to ICN and then onto BKK. $1230 not much of an increase from three years ago.
  22. I ask BEFORE buying a ladydrink if she goes with customers. A 'No' is no drink, a 'Yes' is a ladydrink. The lady drink isn't for her companionship, it is so that I have a chance to vet her, is she doesn't go with customers then why waste my time and/or money, no vetting is necessary if I know she isn't going with me.
  23. Is it too early in your trip to ask what price you are getting ?
