  1. Interesting, My $50 Federal Reserve Note "LEGAL TENDER FOR ALL DEBTS, PUBLIC AND PRIVATE" is not accepted by the US Government. More than likely the American Embassy is afraid of getting too many counterfeit dollars or just as likely real dollars are switched for fake dollars on the way to a bank. .
  2. The King has passed; Now is not a good time to purchase a condo. Wait
  3. Janet Yellen promising a rate hike in December caused most of it according to some talking heads. She really means it this time.
  4. Me too, I never enjoyed the pool until I stayed at Atlantis Condo in Jomtien. The pool is for kids and sections more for adults. Damn, it is fun to just wade around chest deep when the sunshine is out. Let waterfalls and jets of water pound you, I been coming for eleven years and hardly ever stepped into a pool, a lagoon pool is completely enjoyable. Now I want to try a water park.
  5. they do if you will pay the Bangkok Bank fee. I am sure I did a couple years ago. Bangkok Bank in New York has a RTN and SS will send to any RTN.
  6. Laong's Bistro on Jomtien 2nd Road is that across from Rompho market ? That picture looks good enough to eat. I've never had eggs Benedict and want to try them.
  7. Bangkok Pattaya Hospital was the only 'approved' hospital for BCBS when I last looked several years ago.
  8. Thai stewardesses asked only Thai's if they wanted to move to a window seat ( many empty window rows) so they'd have the row to themselves, nobody next to them. Farang were sitting four across in the middle row and none were asked if they'd like a more comfortable seating arrangement. This was on LAX to BKK flight; I won't give them that opportunity again.
  9. Sure, only ten percent are bad. So let's do the math .... that makes Two Hundred Million that need adjusting of some sort or another. Oh, by the way; be wary of at least ten percent of the muslims you see in Pattaya.
  10. Where to get ? No, I am not to go America
  11. OBE Found a smaller but brand new one. Perhaps 5 minute walk to baht bus route.
  12. Hope they pay attention to sound proofing.
  13. Looking again. Jomtien area just fine this year. As long as the condo is no more than a half kilometer to baht bus routes.
  14. Hope you keep notes and publish to the board. I'd be interested in the price these days and the outcome opinion.
  15. Years ago I read in Readers Digest (USA magazine) that there are about 500 colds in the world. You catch a cold and develop an antibody to that cold, so you never get the same cold again. Back a few generations ago and you'd only get exposed to the colds that were in your area of the world, maybe 30 or so, and eventually catch/cure them all. Now days you may travel outside your 100 square miles of the world and you will be exposed to more of those 500. Every time you come to Thailand some china or india or arab has brought their version of cold for you to catch. I find that as I age I take
  16. NOW 1,050.00 baht That has to be a typo.
  17. La Natividee and Bangkok Hospital were both expensive in my opinion, almost twice what I'd pay at a laser clinic in Pensacola Florida.
  18. I think the OP has. Either he wants to screw over his pal or he really thinks the copy is worth the money. YMMV I think they are good enough to check my email, read the forum, check the exchange rate, and show porn. So, worth 3000 baht or less. Check the pawn shops, wish I had your hair.

    Finally!

All updates are placed before the last page, it's the silicon that allows that.
  20. too late, I already have my opinion of Opodo now
  21. Goat Roping at the Steamboat Rodeo great one minute example of a 'goat rope' on youtube. I won't go Air China again but considering 'Premium Economy with China Air this summer.
  22. This time last week I was transiting thru Peking airport, flew BKK-PEK using Air China. Old worn out airplane, had the old TVs over head and seats were either thin or used/worn out. The worst though was the transit, had to re-sign in to another airline there at the airport and it was a goat rope. Never ever again will I use Air China. China Air is the Taiwan outfit and very good from what I read, not the same as the mainland Air China.
