After a lifetime of saving for my older years it is very hard to spend. Saving is a habit, it is difficult to break after forty years of being somewhat frugal. Sure, some guys can blow it all out in just a few years, I just don't have the emotional attitude to splurg. That is why I wouldn't start spending so as to feel I'm squandering my golden years away.

Interesting that in the American Constitution 'all men are created equal under the law'; yet United uses a 'law' that says they can classify passengers as to who is more equal than others. If you are young, or a couple, or a special disability then you get to lose your seat at the last minute because United waited until the last minute to add those four workers to the plane to Lousville.

I think it was very poor planning on United's part for 'booking' their four employees on that plane at such a late time. It would look as if the plane was already booked full up and THEN United thought they should add their 4 workers that needed flights. United can always kick off booked passengers so they don't really have to plan ahead for moving their employees around from airport to airport; just wait until the last minute.

I too use mostly hotels. com to book; I've two free nights recently. The nights are sort of an average of the cost of the ten nights booking it takes to recieve a 'free' night. One night was 1170 baht towards a room and the other free night was 1751 baht towards a nights booking.

Cathay Pacific, my flight was out of ORD to Hong Kong to BKK. I thought that it was nice but not worth the extra cost, I did feel special though. I think, for Google and others to find things in this site they first have to read/copy all of everything and catalogue it for searches. There are a lot of these 'bots' reading/copying the site so the search engines can find stuff on this site. I read that the USA Federal Reserve is almost certain to announce a rate increase for December is a certainty, as the 2nd of November meeting ends. Well I got my bank draft from Kasikorn on Beach Rd Jomtien yesterday (Thursday). I went in around 4PM expecting a hard time communicating what I wanted. No Problem, there had been many Americans in that day asking for a bank draft. In fact, they asked me why so many. I explained US Embassy no want dollars, only Thai check. Not to bad at 20 baht a pop, did have to have my passprt though.
