  1. How about just paying for the recuperation bit - I'll be quick!!
  2. Or you could just send me a cheque to cover the dentist fees and for "recuperation"
  3. Excellent... Can't wait to see the look on the staff faces when they see how she has "developed" ...
  4. How will seating be arranged and allowed? My daughter, her friend and I currently live in the same house. We aint gonna sit 1m away from eachother with a plastic partition between us.....
  5. Excellent news...My daughter heads off to start a new life in Bangkok on Thursday ... I'll do my best to pop in ..
  6. Thanks for the words of encouragement !!! I had one done in Myanmar a few years ago and the dentist is lucky to be alive I can bloody tell you!!!
  7. I went in there Saturday because I had chipped my tooth eating fried frog, then my filling fell out. 800 baht for consultation, x-ray and temporary filling. I go back for root canal tomorrow.. I'd like to give a big shout out to Midlifecrisis but I'll do that in the chair tomorrow. Instead, a nod to him .......well more of a headbutt than a nod really...... He should be burned at the stake over mildly warm ashes very slowly. In one of the lockdown threads he predicted how things could quickly deteriorate from toothache, to chipped tooth, to root canal surgery....... I hadn't r
  8. Fantastic TR . Thanks! The Mexican on soi 2 is my daughter and my favourite eating place in Bangers. A fantastic choice of tequilas in there..!! The shots of the near empty roads by the BTS are unbelievably quiet compared to the days when I was a field engineer for TAC in 96/97 when the BTS was still undergoing major construction work! Thank You!!
  9. Please don't start me on pumpkins... I am trying to get my male flower to shag my female flower to make a baby but they don't seem to get horny at the same time....Maybe tomorrow morning...
  10. Was that the bit of land owned by the American Embassy ....and was a handy place to stop for a piss..
  11. I liked a post on BBC Live in the first game ...."Due to social distancing the ball has to be 2m behind the line for a goal to be allowed....."
  12. Excellent mate. Our lockdown projects would go well together I am sure of that!!! I'm on to my second week of baking and things are looking good!!
  13. I'd heard that it was going to be a new entertainment zone for pigs. Each pig will have a number clipped to its ears... The big holes will be filled with water for them to wallow in. The area with all the blue piping is obviously a toilet with seperate cubicles because pigs are very clean animals. The large area with the sloping roof will be the "parading" area and the tin shed will be for the band.. Well, when I say band I'm guessing there will only be enough room for one banjo and one guitar..... I think it is going to be called "Squeals"
  14. Any idea if the "restaurents" will be selling beer next week? It is on my post lockdown todo list ....
  15. But sometimes experiences are difficult to put into writing.. Not long ago my Thai friends were taking the piss out of me because I got the tone wrong with "lai" as in Pla Lai (eel) and Hoy Lai (clam) and I used the rising tone of pla lai when saying hoy lai .....Funny yeh? ...Of course it isn't funny but if you are sitting around a table drinking hongthong then it is fucking hilarious .....
  16. Yes I saw that...I would liked to have given my experiences of learning Thai, Isaan Laos/Kmer over the past 25 years living in the village here but it became more about speaking and reading Thai correctly which is something I haven't a clue about....As a comparison I even wanted to give my input on learning Swahili then forgetting everything I learnt after leaving Africa as an example of "use it or lose it" ... but because I would have no practical input on speaking Thai correctly I didn't bother joining in...Sorry mate!
  17. It is an interesting point you raise. There are so many good discussions that are deleted purely for going off topic. I wanted to say a few things on the Barry Upton thread but felt that the comments would get deleted so why bother?? We aren't a bunch of sprogs on here...We've all been around a bit...There should be a process in place that allows conversation to flourish.Who gives a shit if we want to talk about whether rat larb is better than frog larb ....It is how conversations develop, just as if we were a bunch of young lads old men standing at the bar ... We have some fu
  18. A picture posted by Jomtienguy jogged a memory of "Alice's Restaurent" ...Whilst searching for it I came across this ......Boy doesn't he look like Richard Beckinsale!!!
  19. Difficult to tell the difference really ...Perhaps the one in the middle has a slightly different shaped nose ...
  20. I have so much to thank Manchester for in the 80s. My wife was from Bradford, Manchester but moved to Hyde. I can't explain the NI of the 80s briefly so would just like to say that Cest La Vie 1 & 2, the Brauhaus and countless pubs my wife dragged me around helped me blow off steam....Thank you Manchester!!! I know I have posted this before but here is Phil Collins ....We were watching it one night in Derry...and one at a time lads skidded up and danced and mimed to it ....one of the lads was killed the next day leaving Rosemount police station...RIP Feller !!
  21. Triple green from me for that one!! I've had my house blown up by the IRA...I've been shot at more than once... but what really gets me upset is that my ex inlaws poisoned my dog because I refused to use her for breeding (for money) You've brought a tear to my eye and a smile to my face with this one...Thanks!
  22. Think of a figure and double it ...??
  23. The office between Walkabout Creek and Coffee Beer Bar is called J and E concierge service and they definitely do transfer of car ownership. It costs 5,000 baht ex tax for the service. I think this price should be used as a benchmark because when I had been in there previously I found their services to be the most expensive in Pattaya.. Anyway, I picked up a card today when I asked the price ...Tel O818658910 .. Good Luck!!
