Is it possible that the article stating No Alcohol Sales on Sunday pertains to retail stores only and not to bars and clubs? Sure not clear to me? Anyway, if it was total stop drinks from being served on Sundays, which I highly douby, then I would just stock up on Saturday and place in my hotel room and reefer. How could he send me a PM if not a current member? He was/is a board member as he has made several posts in the past? Why would one need to re-validate membership? If you are once a member are you not always a member unless you have been banned? Don't think banned is the case here as none of his previous postings were in the least bit out of order. Curious? Don't know if this is correct place to post or not. But, I received a PM from member Som Nam Na and attempted reply. MY PM reply would not transmit with a box appearing that stated, "Som Nam Na does not have pemission to use personal messenger." This is a first for me! And, I don't understand? If person was able to send a PM why cannot they receive a reply? I had another PM from another board member and my reply was sent like always. As this involves a meet next month in Pattaya, I sure would like my reply to go through. Anyone experiencing similiar problems with PM reply? Rockin' Jerry

First time. Only 7-days. No question about it. Straight to Pattaya as you don't really have time to take in the BKK sites and to split your trip. In my opinion, if you split trip you will be doing yourself a big disservice. Wait until you have more time to go and then do the BKK thing. Rockin' Jerry

Before I go: I start saving money for my next trip as soon as I get home. Then, I save more money. And then, I save more money. And finally, I save more money. The more US dollars I save, the more baht I can spend on the pleasures of LOS! Seriously, I think women the world over prefer a well groomed man with good hygiene. IMHO, it can enhance your position to score with the lady of your choice. But, on the other hand, I have seen some real crappy looking men with real dolls. I went in FLB last night and Ben told me the tragic news. I had one drink and left as the desire to party was gone. Om will be greatly missed.

Tangent: Try Cathay-Pacific. They usually have good fares and I have flown with them before. In fact, just booked LA to BKK for $630, taxes included. Booked it last week for flight next week. Yeah!!!! But this deal is only good until April 15. However, they are now running an All Asia Special but not sure of the dates. I suggest you sign up for e-mail promotions from all companies that fly to BKK and watch the promotions they offer as you have plenty of time left before your trip. I disagree that fares are cheaper in the summer, even though it is low season in Thailand it is high season for the airlines in July as it is prime vacation time for most people worldwide. Rockin'

No Penthouse for me either. I didn't stay there but a friend of mine did last year. Cockroaches running all over the place, rooms, dining area, and even in the bar. I saw some roaches in the outside patio dining area and also in the bar as well. And my friend had a disagreement on billpadding for lady drinks and the owner wouldn't do anything about it. I was present when this happened. He checked out and went to another hotel. Penthouse or the Go-Go won't have my business again. Rockin'

I stayed at the Woodlands on my first visit to PTTY several years ago. It was, and is geared toward family business. I had to pay a 500 baht joiner fee every night when I brought a lady back.I didi't want the hassle of relocating so I put up with it. At the time, the Manager accepted the arrangement but stated that the lady could not stay late and could not be taken to the hotel restaurant or use the pool. I have read where these same rules still apply. If I recall correctly, next door toward the beach is the Sunshine Gardens Hotel? and it appeared really nice as well, and they did not require a joiner fee for the ladies. I never got past the lobby but it looked like a good hotel. Rockin'
