Maxx central condos just of 3rd rd
short replied to sinbinjack's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Quite often the monthly rate means you pay for utilities just like renting a house. First, you need to ask them what their definition of a "unit" is. Here is a thread with discussion on electrical rates which is priced per Kila-Watt-Hour (KWh) http://www.pattayatalk.com/forums/topic/44883-cost-of-electricity-in-pattaya/ -
Diesel 2.5?

The price of fuel killed the A340. Due have to admit I miss the quiet cabin and soft landings. Obviously you can't put passengers in the cargo area during take off and landing for safety reasons. That is a crumple zone. But what if you put bunks in them three high? I would like to know how much revenue comes from cargo on a 16 hour long haul 777-300. I don't think ala-cart in economy is practical on a long (16 hr) haul.

Hua Hin - Pattaya ferry (Where to by tickets online?)
short replied to short's topic in Transport in Thailand
The time of year probably makes a difference in the wave behavior. No swimming is allowed on some of the Phuket beaches during the fall. -
Iceland Air designates some front row coach seats as semi-first class by making the middle seat unavailable. They have a little table they place across the middle seat arm rests. They also take bids on upgrades to first class (which is crap) and not worth it.

Spend a few nights in Bangkok.

Don't be too quick too spend your Hilton points cheaply. I managed to get 6 nights at the Phuket Hilton Resort for 10k points/night. It was mostly waiting for the opportunity.

Hua Hin - Pattaya ferry (Where to by tickets online?)
short replied to short's topic in Transport in Thailand
I did the ferry trip from Samui to Koh Tao (or is it Toad). On the way there we were crashing through the waves. The jolting became physically painful. Only the way back we were only going up and down the waves. We were still taking water over the upper deck. -
Using google I'm getting a lot of hits on the Hua Hin x Pattaya ferry but I can't seem to find where to buy the tickets online. Does anyone know if it is still running and if so where to buy the tickets?

That was one of the better deals I've seen on here.

Why not use bitcoin?

Looks like a decent asking price. Gotta ask though, why does an automatic have Hill Assist?

Cleaning up Pattaya...eliminate guesthouses
short replied to MM's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
sounds like they are targeting airBnB. They are becoming rather large in Pattaya/Jomtien because of the folks renting their condos. -
BeerBelly, make sure you are on maps.google. I'm sure that a lot of people that knew you from FLB and bar crawls will want to visit. I know I do. Also, what is the status of your iced tea?

The CEO ... Said on GMA that United will never again use Police to get passengers off. In another words the CEO was trying to offload the blame on the police. The problem with that logic is that you don't call the police unless you are looking for someone that will use force if necessary.

Delta is just now delivering passengers from flights cancelled due to weather last week. Airlines are packing the planes so tight that they have no slack space to recover from delays.

Overbooking made since 40 years ago but not now. Back then you could reserve a seat without putting any money on the plate. Its not that way now. It is time to outlaw overbooking.

What is a "forced stop"? I am so unhappy with Cathay Pacific that I would trade a CA ticket for an AA ticket. I never had a problem getting to BKK on time with any other airline.

The Waterfront. Drone footage.

Impressive that it can climb so fast -
Vien, don't let the comments here scare you. Most of them are from dirty old men that can't get it up and are just having a few snickers at the store corner checkers table at their own expense even though it might not be obvious. It might help if you share a little more on what you are looking for. Daily, Monthly, or Yearly. Number of bedrooms, etc.

I was not aware of GrabCar. The times I have used GarbTaxi it was a properly marked Taxi that showed up.

I attended a retirement seminar given by a former SSA employee. She said that if you do not reply to mail they send you, they automatically assume you are dead and stop payments immediately.

Looks like I will be visiting Glasgow and Edinburgh in the near future. I'm hoping that with so many folks from the UK on this board that someone can tell me were the entertainment districts are and any hotel recommendations in those areas. Thanks
