  1. Just back after travelling with Eva. I have to say I thought the food was okay.
  2. Denny, January/February 2004. Doesn't time fly when we are having fun. Samsonite, For what its worth I thought it was good. Fine big room, and good buffet breakfast. Terrific view from the resturant at the top floor. As far as I can recall there was no inroom safe. Limited sport on TV channels and a bit isolated location I felt. Hope that is of some use to you.
  3. Guys, I was lucky enough to read a posting from Jambo a few days before I came here. I arrived on Eva from London about 4.30 in the afternoon. Huge queues at immigration in Terminal 1. As Jambo had recommended I kept walking down the corridor to Terminal 2, and at the first Passport Control I came to there were 4/5 people in line. Once I was through walked back to Terminal 1. Still had to wait for baggage for a while but very noticeable when I collected my baggage after a wait relatively few people at the carousel. Vast majority still in immigration queue.
  4. Me also. 5.45am here and I am on hotel internet working up an appetite. No hangover here, but as Dean Martin said this is as good as I am going to feel all day. Not entirely correct.
  5. I know the feeling. Just like being at home.

  7. Denny, I presume 2nd prize 8 nights, 3rd prize 9 nights etc. It could be another great money saver for you.
  8. I was never there but expect to find out next week. I got a Priority Pass and the booklet refers to Servisair Executive Lounge. It is open from 06.30-22.30 daily. There is no indication of a time limit.
  9. I have never stayed there. Great location but I would advise that it has consistently got very poor reviews in the Bangkok Tonite forum. Many complaints about it being unhygienic etc.
  10. Not really. In general more likely going east rather than west.
  11. Doug, http://www.evaair.com/NR/rdonlyres/EFA5182...0/B777300ER.jpg Elite is 2-4-2.
  12. Presumably kill as many birds as you like, as long as you keep the noise down.
  13. Whisper it. I have been in there with BigDUSA. He likes Irish Coffees.
  14. The BKK-JFK flights were very heavily promoted before their launch.
  15. stevemcm, I will be on the same flight in 25H if you want to say hello. I am not going on to Pattaya for a few days.
  16. Goddam it. Wrong again. bella @bellavillapattaya.com Beginning to wonder will I be able to find the hotel when I get to Pattaya. It is on Soi 4 isn't it?
  17. I stand corrected. I had it in my favourites for months and I kept getting some rubbish instead. Never checked again on a search engine.
  18. Web site has been down for months. E.Mail bella@bellavistapattaya.com
  19. What worries you is that there will be no elbow room.
  20. I took the advice of previous posters and took out a Standard Plus Membership. I want to point out to anyone contemplating joining that the lounge in Heathrow Terminal 1 does not admit people going to a domestic airport in UK or Republic of Ireland flights even though it professes to be Heathrow Terminal 1 International. I have pointed out to them that a resident of ROI is likely to include Heathrow in their calculations for using this pass, as we would be under the impression that Heathrow to ROI are International flights.
  21. Woody, I never had an in room safe in 3 visits all to what they term deluxe rooms. That and the very poor sports coverage on TV despite the numerous channels would be my only complaints about Areca. Otherwise it is a very pleasant place to stay. Swimming pool and fitness centres big plus factors. Ajax not doing so well these days, so maybe you are not interested in football.
  22. I booked into Bella Villa Prima in November. I have never stayed there but I had a look around the hotel the last time I was in Pattaya. It seems to be a decent place with in room safe. The swimming pool seemed to be small but as it was night time not able to be absolutely sure. They replied to my E.Mail straight away.
  23. I stayed there twice this year. Pretty good but not cheap. I had a midnight flight to London in February and I was able to keep the room until 6pm at half the daily rate. Bag was kept in a room behind reception and I was able to change to warmer clothes there before going to the airport.
  24. pattaya-mad, Majestic Suites. I cannot believe that you have not read this several times already. pattaya-mad but not Bangkok-mad.
  25. I got the train in to Centraal Station return fare 6 euro in April. I had about 8 hours to kill so I went out to the Amsterdam Arena and took the tour there. Very easy city to get around by public transport. Anne Frank museum another attraction.
