They are all now staying in Sky Top.

You were making a previous point that no one went to see Scottish Irish or Welsh football. The big two in Glasgow get massive home attendances for League and European fixtures not just for 4 Old Firm league games. The BBC showed Old Firm games live for a few seasons on all their regions until Setanta secured the rights so presumably they felt there was a demand for them. Of course I do not think there are more people want to watch Scottish Football than English Football. The population of England is 8/9 times that of Scotland. Apart from small populations Ireland and Wales also suffer from the fact that football is not their national game. Both Celtic and Rangers want to get into the Premier League to get their hands on some of that money to enable them to compete more effectively in the transfer market. The usual lack of real competition hampers them when they make the step up to European level. To head off the howls of outrage from Edinburgh I better add that they have been getting plenty of competition so far this season.

Winnie, I was under the impression that there are usually 50,000 or more at Old Firm games in Glasgow. And many fans (not F......s) watch it on TV. It must be galling to be paying huge amounts to keep Northern Ireland going, and they have not the decency to let England beat them. I do hope they at least they respected the British National Anthem Unable to check as I was watching our lacklustre lot lose to a far from brilliant France. Good win for Scotland in Norway.

Big D, The Yanks are coming again next summer to Germany for World Cup not World War. Hopefully the French will not be involved this time.
-
I would imagine there will be plenty more love tomorrow night in Belfast for your National Anthem. Many of them showing love would no doubt consider themselves loyalists.

I have bought reading glasses for 200 baht at one of the stalls in Bangkok at MBK when I lost my reading glasses. I would imagine you could do likewise at somewhere like Big C or Royal Garden Plaza.

Reminds me when of the day Forest were playing Hamburg in the 1980 final. I had raced up to the church at the end of a funeral, and was sitting surrounded by other people waiting for the coffin to leave the church. The parish priest came down the aisle smiling at everyone saw me, stopped and said " well John, How do you think Forest will do tonight". He had spent some years in Nottingham when he was a curate. We discussed the game in the church to accommpanying smirks all round.

And you also more than likely avoid a week of boring press conferences from the English camp before the game. Sven, Becks zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Some of the bar girls can wet themselves with excitement watching football. Rhoel might be safer staying in a bar while the game is on.

Never heard of it till now. It is very tempting. Another downside for me is having to pay 24Euro for BigDUSA if he was loitering outside in Don Muang.

Interested what to do all day?

Hi stumper, I assume you are referring to Areca Lodge. No charge for overnight friends. Original ID required, quick bit of paperwork on which is stamped free of charge and away you go. 2 breakfasts also included in room rate though you will hardly be thinking of that at the signing in stage. My condolences on events at Trent Bridge. -
As a neutral I have to say it has been a tremendously entertaining series. I just hope that the last test is not severly curtailed by rain. It is unusual to see a test match being played in September.

BigDUSA, I hope you at least have the decency to inform them about Alex and the SKY Top.

They will be dancing on the streets of Luanda.

I have been bored recently by 3-3 draw in Champion's League Final and penalty shoot out.

Greg's Kitchen have a very good English Breakfast. 2nd Road near Soi 6.

No. TG needs her ID card and a photocopy is not accepted. They make out a form which you sign and is it clearly marked free of charge.

One of the great Test Matches. Fantastic entertainment.

I know. I got it from Auckland to Singapore.

Denny, Went to New Zealand with SQ last year. 32" in economy. Very tight. More interested in my sore legs than the cabin crews. Wish I was a hansum sexy "young" man like you.
-
echster, Many thanks. Always very useful to have an idea of where you will be situated for such a long flight.
-
Thanks Tom, I like to get up and wander around every so often so an aisle seat is much more preferable for me.
-
I cannot get the full page to download. I am in 25H for my next trip. It is supposed to be an aisle seat so I assume it is a 3-4-3 arrangement. Could one of you guys confirm this please?

Omni Tower is further down Soi 4. Just under the 2000 baht mark. Within strolling distance of NEP and Nana Sky Train Station.

Yea, spotted it on the paper. Not of much use to me personally as Dublin is a long journey with all the problems of traffic, and a crap airport. But for some one in the Dublin area it eliminates the Heathrow stopover, and makes it an attractive proposition.

Humidity much lower last few nights. Very pleasant strolling around and sizing up the talent.
