  1. What? You guys don't have pics to add? Let's see what you have. I did the Asian drivers, then boom boom, I call these the "Oh Shit" Pics.
  2. Keep this going guys, add pictures.
  3. Asian drivers have always amazed me. As an expat I have gotten used to seeing a family of five on a motorbike, without helmets, without lights, and driving the wrong way on a one way street. However these would make me do a double take any time.
  4. Black Eyed Peas and Usher make me almost glad that I slept through the game. While neither are west coast teams, I'd have been rooting for the Steelers. Oh well.
  5. I believe that I answered that, more than once. Even though learning Thai has been mentioned several times, what does it got to do with my OP? Most Farang in Pattaya do not, and will never know the language. I have a pet peeve, it's mine, it doesn't have to be yours. I found a work around for an evening. The ladies didn't seem to mind, and it was enjoyable for me. I shared my experience. It's not your experience, or anyone else's, it's mine. One good thing about this forum is, if you don't like the topic, you can click right to the next topic.
  6. I would suggest going on one of the bar crawls to meet board members. Also, every place on soi LK is booked up right now, make a reservation if you want to stay there.
  7. Try a different hotel. I have had a hotel do this, and then want me to send them an e-mail with all my credit card information on it. I passed and went to a different hotel. Unless you are going on a weekend, there probably wouldn't be any problem just showing up on the island and finding a hotel. If you are going on a weekend, re think that decision. The Island fills up with sudo high so Thai's from BKK
  8. Interesting. It's Okay to pay them for sex, but not Okay to pay them for talk, or companionship. I guess I didn't understand the rules.
  9. Never buy anything someone comes up to you in a bar or restaurant and tries to sell you. You can always find better, and cheaper in the shops. Besides, buying from them, encourages them to bother people that are eating, drinking, or socializing. Personally, I don't go to a bar or restaurant, for shopping, and don't want to be bothered by them.
  10. I had to laugh at this one. Then steal it off the board I read it on.
  11. There is a gated community with pool that has some new houses for sale or rent all with the same number on them. Maybe an agent, maybe an owner. The houses were not finished, they needed paint, electrical outlets and switches. I think they were holding on to them waiting for the market to come back, then sell. You could give them a call and see if they will finish one for you to move in. # 086-3684964 In the same community there is a sparsely furnished house for rent #081-3574657, and one where the neighbor is playing agent, she wouldn't just tell me where it was, she wanted us to do
  12. I have to agree with the OP. The topic seemed to have changed to what most think that Thai's are paying for pussy. None of us are Thai, and is wasn't the topic, what does it matter? I think that he wants to know if he can like here on $30k Answer, yes. Although many of us find it hard to do so. As I said several pages back. The Thai government requires 800,000 baht a year to have a retirement visa. They must figure that a farang can live on that amount, with out becoming a burden to the country.
  13. Back from hell - Pattaya horror story revisited From Andrew Drummond Bangkok, February 1 2011 He has made an incredible recovery after treatment at a psychiatric hospital in Bangkok. And remarkably it was a private British citizen who came to his aid after seeing pictures of Hewitt up on this website. The British Embassy had seemingly written him off as either a ‘feckless’ Brit or perhaps as one Embassy employee apparently described him, unofficially and not without cause - ‘a nutter’. But now his faculties have returned and Hewitt describes himself as ‘The luckiest man in the
  14. I have to ask, did your TGF pay you and your friend to go? Then did your TGF pick up the tab? Then it's not the same then is it? Personally, when I play host for a group, as well as pay them to go. I expect some sort of interaction other than "I want to go with you" and then "I go home now" If I take a lady for short time, I don't care if she speaks a word of English, I only care about performance. There is a big difference between going short time, and taking out several ladies that do speak English, and playing host, and employer. In this case, all but one, speaks English mu
  15. I'm not a game player either, but had two apps installed on facebook. I did have my account accessed once from the US and FB notified me. I changed my password then. Maybe it's not on facebook, but just uses it. Do you use antivirus? Can you have your daughter look at your computer? One of the reasons I think it's an application installed is because it gives them access to all your information, then hackers can spoof a message from you. If they really came from your account, you would have copies of the sent messages in your sent folder. Check your sent folder, and check for apps.
  16. True statement. Since I'm to stupid to learn the language, the ladies don't talk to me anyways, and I don't take them back to loom, what is the use?
  17. Go back into your settings. You may have an app you didn't know you had. When I went to check my account, I checked the apps, I had two, even though I have never approved any. I have all apps blocked now. If you are a game player, you can remove the ones that you don't want, or recognize. Apps are easier to get on FB than virus's and some apps are malaware. Hope it helps
  18. You can buy calling cards that have better rates. There are many different cards, you need to check the rate for each one. Once they are activated, there is a small amount of time before they expire. Also, while the minute rate is great, they have a call charge. I've had a 30 minute card used up with three calls of a minute or two. It's best to get the ones that last 20 or 30 minutes and use it all at once. I don't know about magic jack and a mac, but the first one I bought didn't work, the second one I have been using for two years. It might be worth a check to see if you just got a
  19. That was well said. Yes I know that I am in Thailand and they speak Thai. I could make a better effort at learning the language, however it's a tonal language. I've worked on loud construction sites all my life and just can not hear the difference in tones. If I go into a restaurant and in Thai ask for a bowel of rice, it may come out that I want a bowel of nine. The restaurant doesn't serve nine, and most everyone orders rice with their meal. However they will act like they can't understand a word I've said. They make me repeat it over and over until I revert to asking in English. The
  20. You would think. But I'm going to have to spend quite a few more frugal nights in FLB before my "average" FLB bill gets that low. If we take that one day. I bought breakfast for two, took the dog to the vet, went to BigC for cleaning supplies and toilet paper, while there the GF found a front door mat and a pair of shoes she liked, and a toy for the dog. I put 100 baht on my phone and 300 on hers, and paid the 1900 baht electric bill. When the GF went for som tam and rice, she also filled the tank on one of the motorbikes. Dinner for two, plus drinks. Two drinks in FLB waiting for t
  21. What is your price range? Would you go for simi furnished, or sparsely furnished?
  22. You are right, there are to many what if's. I've found that the way I think I will react to something, isn't always the case when it comes up. Maybe my mood at the time, or how well my life is going, or many other variables. Don't let Jacko get under your skin. You've earned a lot of respect in my book. I don't think many would do what you did, even though it's the human, and civilized thing to do. To second guess what someone would do with an extended lifespan, really shouldn't come into the equation. Often times people will disappoint you. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't give
  23. Okay, I have more than one pet peeve with Thai girls. There is one that has bothered me from day one. When out with a Thai laddie, and another Thai comes up, they always speak Thai leaving me completely out of the conversation. I have been to many Asian and south American countries and Thai's seem to be the only ones that do this. I find it rude and disrespectful. They won't even tell me what was said. In any other country I've been in, if I'm with a lady and someone speaks to them in their language, she turns to me and tells me what was said. Not here. I used to often take a group
  24. It's a lot easier than you think. Like I said, I don't live big. Occasionally, I do have a big night out. You got to remember, flying over here, I was limited to two bags, and a carry on. Every thing else has to be bought. Want to cook an egg in the morning? You have to buy a burner, a tank of propane, hoses and regulator to hook it up. Buy a pan, a plate, and a fork, add toast, and you have to buy a toaster, a knife, bread, butter, and the egg. Like coffee with your breakfast? add a microwave, coffee, a cup, a spoon and a bottle of milk. Then buy a bag to put the trash in, and a can
