  1. Hey Scott Bobby is right here. It's not easy to get a visa for a Thai bar girl. Almost imposable. If it were easy, most of us would have girls delivered to our homes, and not have to go to Thailand. Your government wants to make sure that she has strong ties to Thailand, and has reason to go home, not stay illegally and become a drain on the Canadian government. If you check, they will want her to be a land or house owner. A business owner or have a verifiable steady job, and good money in the bank. Just to get a tourist visa. None of which she has. When you entered Thailand, you came from a first world country, to a third world country. It was assumed on arrival that you had money, would not overstay, become a criminal, or go on welfare. You were also required to have a return ticket. Going the other way around, third world to first world, the government is very suspicious, and lots of hoops need to be jumped through to ensure that a third world tourist goes home at the end of their holiday.
  2. You can pull the money out after getting your visa. You can also get a visa showing that you an income equaling that amount. Or even an income of less, with a bank account covering the difference.
  3. I did, until I scrolled down and saw the strap on. That in itself destroyed the whole illusion, and killed all proceeding thoughts. Can't reply with out leaving a pic
  4. Thanks for the translation.

  7. New Immigration Chief Allows 90-Day Reporting by Mail According to the Pattaya Times, of today, foreigners who were issued their six-month or one-year visas by the Chonburi Immigration Bureau no longer have to go to the immigration office to report in person every 90 days. Visa holders wishing to stay legally in Thailand more than 90 days and hold valid visas now have two other choices. The first choice is to sign a Power of Attorney form and let someone else submit the form. The second and easiest choice to report is by mailing the “Form for Alien to Notify of Staying Longer than 90 Days,” form TM. 47 to the immigration office before the due date of reporting which is 90 days after the last entry into Thailand and is stamped in the passport. Police Colonel Chusak Panutumpon, age 50, is the new Chief of Chonburi Immigration located in Pattaya on Jomtien Soi 5. On his second day in office the new chief, as is customary, was introduced to the Pattaya Times newspaper Publisher, Drew Noyes and Editor Wanrapa Boonsu to clarify his role and discuss his objectives for his new assignment in Pattaya and ask for suggestions. Most recently Pol. Col. Chusak was the Chief of Immigration for the Ubon Rachathani station for three years. Last year Pol. Col. Chusak was awarded a trophy for his excellent work in developing his immigration police station into becoming a citizen-friendly police station. His trophy was granted by the Royal Thai Police Chief Police General Wichian Potphosri. Now his goal is to make the improving Chonburi station even more accommodating to foreign residents and tourists. In Thai, the new Chief said, “I am very happy to meet you both. My goal is to find solutions to improve customer service and improved ways to operate this busy immigration office and I would like your help.” The new Immigration Chief told 14-year Pattaya resident, American Drew Noyes and his Thai wife “Kung” who is from Ubon Rachathani that on his first day the office was open until 7 pm because of all of the foreigners needing services and he was amazed at the number of foreigners his staff deals with per day. At his last posting as Chief in Ubon Rachathani there were only about 1,000 foreigners - mostly married to Thais – and some tourists his office serviced. Drew Noyes, who also owns PAPPA Co., Ltd. Legal and Visas Services, suggested that many of the foreigners go to Immigration simply to say they are still in Thailand by submitting a mandatory 90-day notification form to an officer and having it processed while they wait. The expat continued to explain that most foreigners are troubled to go to the office in Jomtien because it is far from central Pattaya and the Immigration officers are overwhelmed with the crowded waiting area every day and sometimes understandably become annoyed by being overworked. Drew Noyes said this situation is a burden to all and a solution would greatly improve the service to those having to submit the form, the foreigners waiting for visas or extensions of stay while lightening the work load of the new chief’s officers. The two new friends worked to find a solution to the mandatory 90-day reporting situation by using the internet to get the form and the Thai Post Office to send the form to the Immigration Office. “All foreigners, regardless of the number of days or months remaining on their visas, must appear to complete the 90-Day form 90 days after their most recent entry into the kingdom and this is unnecessary if it can be done by mail,” stated Drew Noyes, who with his company PAPPA Co., Ltd. has helped more than 4,000 foreigners with legal and visas problems and was the founding chairman of both Pattaya Expat clubs and the Optimist International Club of Thailand and also sits on the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) law board in Bangkok. Drew Noyes suggested that registration on the internet had been proposed last year was one solution, but since there was no system approved yet, the chief could approve submission of the 90-day reporting form by mail. This would also be easier than having to appear at the Immigration Office in person or send someone to notify immigration the foreigner is still in Thailand, Drew Noyes added in his conversation with the new Chief. The seasoned Chief immediately called for the officer-in-charge of 90-Day reporting and asked him, “How many foreigners come here each month only to submit the 90-day reporting form?” “Between 4,000 to 6,000 foreigners come here just for this reporting, sir,” was the reply. Drew suggested that the form could be uploaded to the www.Pattaya-Times.com website with instructions. The foreigners who get their visa from his immigration office could mail the 90-day reporting form. Pol. Col. Chusak agreed to the request and now allows the form to be copied and mailed to his office. The two men shook hands and were delighted with their agreement as it benefits both the foreigners and the overworked immigration officers. Now the new, approved alternative process for 90-day report of stay, TM. 47is as follows: 1). Download the TM. 47 Form for Alien to Notify of Staying Longer than 90 Days at http://pattaya-times.com/a6847-90-day-immi...ng-form-by-mail or use a form obtained from any Thailand Immigration office. 2). Completed the form in block print letters making sure it is easy to read and sign it on the “Signature” line. No photo necessary, but copy your passport photo page and the passport page with the most recent entry stamp. 3). Put the form and passport copies in a regular business envelope 4). Simply affix a 5 baht Thailand Post Office stamp onto the envelope and mail it before your 90-day reporting is due. 5). Mail it to: Chonburi Immigration, 74/265 Moo 12, Nongprue, Banglamung, Chonburi 20260. Complete instructions and the ability to complete the form online are available on the Pattaya Times website. If anyone would like to submit their 90-day reporting by using a Power of Attorney form and having another person go to immigration to submit the form on their behalf a form can be obtained from PAPPA Co., Ltd. 448/21 Moo 12 Nongprue, Banglamung, Chonburi, or by requesting by email to Drew@PattayaLawyers.com. Pol. Col. Chusak is not new to Pattaya as he was formerly a Royal Thai Police officer serving at the Pattaya Police station on Soi 9 holding the rank of Inspector before he was transferred and began serving as a Royal Thai Police Immigration Bureau officer serving duty on the border of Cambodia and then the border of Laos.
  8. That is not going to happen. For accommodation, on the same soi is Drunken Duck, Irish Rovers, and LK Metro, whom all have better reputations, and great reviews. For drinking, it's a hole in the wall, and feels like a closet next to Drunken Duck or Billabong on the same Soi. Anyone wanting women on that soi has three gogo's to choose from, as well as Lolita's. That putts you well down the list of places I would recommend. I did however recommend rockhouse to an asshole once. It was my hopes that he would end up on the receiving end of a bottling. No need to thank me.
  9. NO. I would do it because the bus is bigger and more comfortable. Getting to Pattaya's bus station is easy. The bus in Hua Hin drops you off within walking distance of many nice hotels and guesthouses. You recommended one thing, I offered another option. I wasn't flaming you, or trying to make you wrong. For most of us mongers, the bus is a much better option. At least it was for me, and my lady.
  10. Sawasdee Seaview is on soi 10 The cheap rooms are very rough, and aimed at Thai's, the better rooms 1400 Baht are nice. If you are looking for something central to use as a short time room, The honey lodge is on Pattaya Thai can be walked to from walking street, has parking, air-con and a pool. A nice hotel for the money. My only bitch was that the doors and locks were not commercial grade, and could be easily broken into. I didn't like leaving my computer and camera in the room. There is also a couple of very cheap hotels that the freelancers and lady boys use for short time rooms, a room for the night is as cheap as a short time room. They will rent the room for the night, and then use it several times. There are long stay guests as well. Go to P72 hotel on walking street, there is a small soi next to it, only big enough for motorbikes and walking. Walk towards 2nd road and you will see them.
  11. Take the yellow bus from the North road depot and the price would have been 180 baht each.
  12. Might as well add out favorite subject, women
  13. Very unlikely. Notice all the Chinese tourist coming to Pattaya?

  15. Cherry Bar soi 8 has two on Wednesdays, and gets together with FLB bar for two on the other Wednesdays of the month. I believe that Drunken Duck Soi LK has one every week, on Tuesdays. Stop by Cherry Bar and talk to Adam. or stop by Drunken Duck for more info. You can also do a search "Bar Crawl" on here and they should come up.
  16. I wish you would have seen it also. Frosty and our GF's went to Chatuchak market after checking out the local pet shops, Soi Buckaow market, and ThepPrasit market. As he said, he was looking for a Jack Russell, and I was looking for a German Shepard. We both walked out with different dogs than we were looking for. There were a lot of sick looking lethargic puppies there. However we found a couple that looked playful and happy. The next morning we took them to the vet assuming they haven't had puppy shots yet. We had only found one seller that supplied puppy shot records with the puppies. We went to two different vets, and were told the same thing. "If the dog is still alive in a week, bring it back for shots" I did get him to give the puppy medication for worms. Yesterday we went for the second set of puppy shots. The puppy seems health and happy, though damn hard headed. It's still up in the air as to whether I train it, or it trains me to let it do what ever it wants. He is a Thai Bangkeaw, a breed I knew nothing about before taking it home. I had to do a google search when I got home with it. I just liked it's coloring and was tired of looking for a puppy. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they are good guard dogs, and that Thai's are scared of them. After all, he will be my security system.
  17. English Resident and his Thai Wife seriously assaulted in South Pattaya house robbery An English resident of Pattaya and his Thai Wife were seriously assaulted during a house robbery late on Sunday Night. The incident occurred at the Majestic Residence off the Pratamnuk Road in South Pattaya. The break-in occurred at a house owned by Mr. David Snell aged 62 who was rushed to the Pattaya International Hospital with serious head injuries. The wife of Mr. Snell, Khun Benjar aged 52 explained to Police that three men entered the house while the couple were sleeping. Mr. Snell and his wife had their hands bound together using a leather belt. They were ordered to reveal the location of their safe and after several blows to the head, they gave over the information and their safe box was broken into. Inside was 20,000 Euros, Diamond and gold Jewelry and a Rolex watch. The combined value of the stolen items is estimated at 1 Million Baht. Pattaya Police investigators believe this to be a pre-planned robbery and the men are suspected of staking out the estate prior to the robbery. The three suspects covered their faces with balaclavas and at this time there is no indication the men were caught on Security Cameras. The couple was found by a Pool Technician who works at the village and he also saw nothing suspicious. The investigation continues as Mr. Snell and his wife recover from their injuries in Hospital. 18. I don't get it either. I didn't know Sara Palin could answer a question. Is this something new?
  19. I heard that the tickets to the concert were $250, is that true? Where did you get tickets?
  20. The US issues a passport card, that can be used for trips to Mexico, Canada, and the Virgin Islands, with out carrying your regular passport.
  21. This is correct information. I was amazed at how simple and easy it was to get the GF a passport. The forms can even be downloaded online and filled out beforehand. She had hers sent to the house, it took about a week to arrive. It saved that second trip to BKK
  22. Is this true, or what??
  23. There are a many hotels and guest houses in Pattaya, as there are bars. Maybe it's time for a change.
  24. I spent a long time in hotels before I rented a house. Typically I woke up late, after the time that they would get to my room. I spoke with the maids, and they told me that they never knew if I was in the room doing boom boom or not, so if they didn't see me leave, they skipped my room. They showed me the do not disturb thing for the door, on the back of it was "Please clean room." They suggested hanging it outside the door when I left, in case they didn't see me leave. My problem was solved.
  25. After the Oh shit pics, you have to expect these to come next.
