  1. If you saw the ladies final from the US Open, you'll no doubt have an opinion about the decision of Umpire Eva Asderaski to apply the 'Hinderance rule' to a clearly heard, early shout of triumph from Williams, before Stousur got her racket to the ball. The Umpire's decision led to the awarding of the point to Stousur......... Which in turn led to another outburst of abuse from Williams to another Umpire in a US open final. Now there are only 3 females to have achieved the Tennis' top umpiring qualification.......Eva Asderaski is one of those 3. I understand that doesn't mean that al
  2. I watched the opening ceremony..............Very professionally done. And all the better for not going on too long. London take note. However, I found myself making comparisons between Thai ladies and their traditional dances, with their, 'eyeballing, tongue flapping Maori sisters'. Late for dinner 150 odd years ago...... with one of those ladies as your wife.....and you wouldn't just end up supplying your meat and two veg to the ducks Thai style.....you could up being dinner! With women like that I make NZ outright favourites. The Pakeha don't have a chance.
  3. You have to loosen the strings of course.........but no problems I can report. All these bands that tour the world seem to do all right. If you put it in a soft case I think you can take it into the cabin with you. If you're worried check first and do that. By the way, I was in the same shop on Suk opposite Trepasit Rd and couldn't believe the number of Ukeleles for sale....and being snapped up too. Saw 3 sold while I was there buying an electric tuner .
  4. ......One Welshman batters another. One dies and another's life is changed forever.....for what? Not just football's problem though.
  5. For me this place has been a daytime, sit and chat and catch the eyes of the passing girls place............Great entertainment to watch the comings and goings.
  6. Hi Randolph Scott 'Vital signs' I believe is just weight to height.....temperature...blood pressure. Thanks for the info. I check for HIV pretty regularly....July 9th being the latest. My 'on off' GF badly wants a baby......Might go for a "Gregory" of my sperm count. That's if she leaves me any to check!
  7. I'm English and 58 and I had never gotten round to watching the complete film until about a month ago. Thanks for posting.
  8. Truth and wisdom is your words Bushy. My favourite schoolboy latin saying, applicable to Thailand and to life everywhere....... almost became my PT 'signature' is, ''struit insidias lacrimis cum femina plorat.'' Trans "When a woman weeps, she is setting traps with her tears.''
  9. Yeah he can say "Pom ben cru (or ajarn)...........Pom sorn passa lat in krap." And she can reply...."Estne volumen in toga,a solum tibi libet me videre" Trans...Is that a scroll in your toga or are you just pleased to see me!!"
  10. Wigs and age apart.......He's looking a sight better than Jim is these days. Saw him on Thai TV with his daughter...she was in some talent show for the off-spring of the famous. She sang well and he was so proud. I'll be bringing my son to see him in Dec so I hope whatever his age he's not ready to retire just yet. For me, Lam and 'Tina' from the Malibu are Pattaya's true icons
  11. So Jacko....this thread is for the non-grumpy to find something to be grumpy about! Good idea! In keeping with the topic and because of my great respect for you...............I get a touched miffed by all those 'Bored as fluck' threads on Secrets....I've never opened one it's their pure abundance. How can they be bored enough living here to contribute?......Having said that I'm over 1000 of pointless drivel posts on here so........
  12. Had a 't shirt'......... emblazoned with... ''GIVE GENEROUSLY TO TOURETTES CHARITY RESEARCH....... ........YOU FUCKING CUNT!''
  13. I get the point but you go too far........You wouldn't call the congregation 'corrupt' because the vicar spent the 'collection' on a toy boy rather that the church roof. FIFA wasn't set up to 'be' corrupt...........The corruptors.............do not deserve to have our contumely deflected.
  14. I disagree............The Warmington-on-Sea, Home Guard could do the job......It just needs the will to do it. But the vast majority of FIFA delegates are, it appears, either embroiled in the corruption or too craven for that to happen.
  15. Crocs have introduced some 'deck-shoe-like' styles with canvas tops........check them out at Central Festival. 2050 baht. atlas your gentleman's gentleman and style guru. Vale,lacerte......'see you later alligator'
  16. Calm down Joe.... don't burst your 'bladder' over this. I didn't mean to be 'HORRIBLE' to you and I apologise if I've upset you. You're entitled to your privacy regarding your nationality and I just asked out of a natural,if misplaced curiosity...... Won't broach the subject again. An Englishman's word on it.
  17. Joe.... We are all free of course to give our valued or worthless opinions, select our standpoint, fight our corner and discuss the issues in any way we choose. Threads which you enter.... and 'introduce' into an anti-English sentiment or, align yourself with anti-English sentiment do seem to come along too regularly not to be noticed. It may be you are right 'in every case' to do so. You are certainly right in your claim above....that the hands of the FA are 'not spotless in this'. Indeed 'that' is a direct quote from 'my' opening post. It is therefore something I and others have
  18. Agree...........And he's still there bluff, lording it up and looking set for a gracious retirement at a time of his choosing. FIFA is such a corrupt bunch of thugs that it makes the UN look like 'The Warmington-On-Sea jam making committee'. Come on 'Panorama'
  19. came out after Diana's death and referred to her not HMQ........I'll keep to that version. but yes good presentation.
  20. As you say........ It made sense to put the Thai flag in as I live here........and I've said I'm English many times........ but some people 'could' think I was a Canadian expat......or American (apart from my spelling which is 'mostly' British English). ........Whatever........I can't see any reason why anybody would be 'coy' about where they come from when they login anonymously with a name like 'atlas' or 'Idefix' or Joekicker. As for Idefix......that was your '666 th' post you little 'devil's advocate' you!
  21. England.........if you didn't guess! ..........Some posters want to keep their country of origin secret............
