> Cheapest Breakfast in Pattaya? Khao Mok Gai : 35 baht on Eating Street (South Rd) Close at about 6:30am though...

Unfair. Your message is really quite unreadable if I use Internet Explorer or Chrome. It is small but easilly readable on FireFox though. Maybe you use FireFox and did not see the problem?

No, but everyone as the "Ctrl" and "+" keys on his keyboard

I don't really know; just remember I went in the storage area on the left and it was mainly big TVs, DVD players, some laptops (computers) and a few camcorders or cameras. I heard they have a special place somewhere for air-cons reparation. I don't know which other products Samsung build?
-
PS: There is a Samsung Customer Service shop just near Bangkok Pattaya Hospital (BPH, Sukhumvit north of Pattaya Nua) You can bring your IT device directly here if you registered your product on the Internet Samsung site. They will make there small/frequent reparations or send it to Bangkok. I had a problem with the hard drive of my notebook last year (the notebook fell from my desk ) and they changed it in 3 days for free without question even if I bought it in Europe; thanks to the Samsung one year international warranty
-
Wrong. It may had problems with some TVs in some countries, but it was maybe 5 years ago and then solved. I have a 40" Samsung TV with a small Samsung Home Theater I bought it about 3 years ago in BigC and I am very happy with it.
-
For a TV I would recommend to wait for a promotion perdiod of Big C, Power Buy or other. Don't know about dates, but several times a years you can see on their catalogue many frequently bought products in promotion at -20 or -30% of the price they usually sell it. I bought a few years ago a TV at big C for 27 kbaht during a "promotion" while it was at 35 kbaht there the week before. :) Problem is different if you need one right now/today. PS: The previous post by CheshireTom is a perfect example of what I mean. :)

Spankys Bar soi Diamond
Idefix replied to spankys bar soi diamond's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Why so many people trying to describe Pattaya agogos situation far worse that it really is ? I don't have exact statistics but they is still a big number of agogos with price on their walls or mirrors, And multiple prices is not the rule: Good agogos like Happy, Baccara,... have one unique price for BF and LD.- 76 replies

Hi. I come back from Tops in Tukcom ground floor; they have Tonic Water (cans & a few 4x6 big packs) they have Coke Light (6-packs & 4x6 big packs) they have every can I thought about: Schweps, Sprite, Coke, Coke Zero, Fantas, Ice Teas, Green Teas, ... Looks like everything is (nearly?) back to normal. :)
-
Looks like a parking very far from Thailand... Where in the world can we find this kind of solid double white lines? I thing it's mainly a USA street marking??
-
No, they give you a 30 day authorization of stay. Visa on arrival is something very different for people of a few special countries only. He must have a double-entry tourist visa; multiple-entry does not exist for tourist visa. BTW I went to Jomtien Immigration this Thursday morning. More than 1h30 to get a Tourism Visa extension !!! It use to take 15-20 mn but today the lady in charge of giving back our passport was only at her post about 2 or 3 minutes every 15 mn, and nobody to replace her . There was a pile of maybe 30 passports waiting to be collected when I got mine. .

As you want, but You talked of Soi Buakao when you said: as there is no(t yet a) bahtbus line on Soi LK... Seriously, If people can walk Soi Diana to go Soi LK, they can walk from 2nd Rd to Beach Rd to go South. ... or if you are - as you said - on 2nd Rd/Soi 3, they can just stop a baht bus showing Beach Rd and go WS making a loop by the Dolphin roundabout Any news about these New LK Agogos ?
-
Wrong. Second Rd is clearly most accessible because the bahtbus loop itinerary intercept with all other important bahtbus loops in Pattaya (Naklua, North Rd, Central Rd, South Rd, Jomtien) and Pattaya's important points: Dolphin roundabout, Soi 6, Central Beach Festival, Royal Garden, walking Street, ... Yes, then it's easy to go OUT of Soi Buakhao, but how do you get INTO Soi Buakhao when you are by example at WS Entrance? Good luck to find the right bahbus that will turn in Soi Buakhao... And to come back on the subject: Two new agogos are announced on Soi LK: - one were was T

Hi MM, I can confirmed what you said: I ask for Shweppes Tonic last night at Baccara and they didn't have it any more. Coke Light (aka Diet Coke) is back though . (99 baht) BTW, I confirme than LD is 115 baht at Baccara and Happy group, even if it was 125 at the begin of January...

I don't think they are updating their figures correctly. A Big Mac Set right now is 128b...over $4 USD. Small notice: Pattaya price is not Thailand price. Places like McDo or StarBuck, aimed at American and Russian people here, are way more expensive in Pattaya (and probably Phuket) than in other Thai cities. Could someone give us the Big Mac price somewhere in Isaan, or even in Chang Mai ?

What is more expensive in Pattaya
Idefix replied to harro1's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Don't know for Russian food. Don't even know where you find it; not in the street I think, and food in a restaurant is always more expensive that street-food. About honey, in France its about 6 €/kg (240 baht) if you buy at the farm and over 10 € (400 baht) in supermarket. At Pattaya you buy a big bottle (~ 1 liter? ~1 kg?) for 120 baht at the market. Again cheaper here for me. -

Idefix replied to harro1's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Are you talking about imported products? I think so, because to me local products are still cheap or rather cheap here. And about previous posts: - Gasoline is way cheaper than in Europe - Electronics is slightly less expensive because of lower tax - Hospital is way cheaper, even BPH - BBQs ? Which ones ? charcoal fire or bbq cost nearly nothing. - Russian women ? not sure if available in my country... Can't compare Imported products and mainly imported food are logically more expensive, but do you really need them here? no. -
Hi, Sorry gabor, I don't know anything about this club. Juste remember they had very very sexy girls on cars making its promotion a few months ago http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcAkdtPUeZU PS: Very surprised that this video is still on YouTube. They removed so many "hot videos" recently...

Who to deal wtih for visa runs - for the new guy here.
Idefix replied to Wannabe's topic in Expat Issues
"the easy solution"... yes, for a free stay at the Bangkok Deportation Center ! Do not use this kind of illegal solutions ! NEVER ! So am I. I did them for more than 5 years I am currently looking for a school to get an ED visa, mainly to stop visaruns ! BTW It could be good to post the name of your bad visarun agency so that nobody goes there. Minibus are nearly always full (optimisation) but that means 3x3 + 1 near driver = 10 customers max. No sure for Pattaya, but in some areas you can do your 90-days address report by mail. -

Idefix replied to Wannabe's topic in Expat Issues
Unfair... Nearly all visarun agencies use the same model of recent minibus, white with darked window, larger than the small ones going to Bangkok, and it's really not a problem to sit 3 on a row; you have a lot of place. Sweating in these minibus? never, but you often have to ask them to reduce the air-con "fry-up breakfast": that reduces this option to British guys only BTW my answer was no to be cheap but an answer to "the cheapest I have found": you can find cheaper :) -

Idefix replied to Wannabe's topic in Expat Issues
Is it a joke? or a disguised advertising? This place must make you pay something like 2,500 baht for a visarun. Just try Cambodia Inter or one of the many places on Soi Buakaho and it will cost you 1,800 baht. Include a small Thai food + drink lunch. I made my last visarun with Cambodia Inter at end of December. Took me at my condo at 6:30am and was back at 2:30pm. The only interest - I think - of 1st-Class and similar places is for too-big guys because they have bigger/larger seats, but if you are a "standard" guy all other places are ok too. -
Spankys Bar soi Diamond
Idefix replied to spankys bar soi diamond's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
So you mean that you will probably never pay LD, right?, because places with LD at 100 baht max will be very hard to find nowadays... And I don't talk only of agogos. Many bars have LD a lot higher than most agogos. 140 or 160 LD is now frequent in a beer bar About noise you are wrong too. Not all agogos have loud music. In many places its at good level so you have no problem to chat with ladies. If you want loud music go to discos, or try Soi 7 with its the-louder-bar-win competition and cacophony!- 76 replies
