So you give more than 100 baht tip in a bar but usually only 20 in a restaurant ? Strange. And why no tip to buffets ? My Thai friend always give 20 or 40 baht to the waiter who bring us drinks, who check that our glasses are always full, who take care of the fire and level of water, who bring us shrimps or fishes from the BBQ when ready, ... He deserves it as much as a waiter in a restaurant. It's indeed the easiest way to recognize American people...

Really I don't know anymore. I used to go left at red, slowly and carefully, but now only go if a group of bikes goes. I see these policemen at 3rd_Rd/South_Rd crossing every week now when I go school. I can wait a few minutes, but would appreciate to know what Thai road rules exactly say about this point...??? In some crossing you have a clear panel "Can turn left at red" like, but for others?

Yes, I agree. I saw them more and more often on South Rd, just after the motorbike shop at the corner with 3rd Rd, waiting for those who comme for 3rd Rd and turn left at red. Seems to be the jackpot here for policemen. Always 2 or 3 motorbikes stoped So be carreful in Pattaya and don't turn left at red if no panel saying explicity that you can do it.

I did buy on the sea side Yes a few religious ceremonies, some fairs/festivals in the wat area and boxing show at the school not far can be noisy, but how often? When there is noise I just close windows (I have good ones) and it's ok. Most of the day all are wide open. (rarely use air-con). I don't see the point of buying near the sea if you do not benefit of the view?

Hi, I own a apartment and live in Center Condo. Last selling prices I know about are in the range 1.6 - 2.4 million for these 50 sqm apartments. But as for any place it depends a lot of it's location in the condo and from what is inside... A high floor with see view is logically far more expensive than a low floor with view on the car park or view on the wall of the adjacent building. About bedrooms: only Thai people could make 2 bedrooms in a small 50 sqm apart . Most have 1 bedroom + bathroom + main room + kitchen corner. Most renovated ones are made like a studio (no bedroom) The location of Center Condo is very good for Pattaya. Easy access to everything. The condo itself is rather old and suffer for many years of bad/no managment. We had elections and a new management begin of 2011. Really many farangs owners inside because of the old quota system: 95% farang, not 49%. Lot of work done already but still a lot to do. Good hope it will be good then. Not perfect but a place I like

Everythings go too fast on WS while here you can take your time and look at some details you can't easily see otherwise. I like the Happy group parades/defiles like on the 5th picture from the end. Agogo of this group regularly send a group of (usually) good looking dancers make a short dance-show is some of their other agogos. You often see them between10pm and midnight and can be the oportunity to spot a nice lady. They are in blue when from The Beach (last picture), in green from Pepermint, in black from Bacara, in white from Happy and in brown/gold from The Cavern.

The more athletes you bring in as many sports as possible, and the more you can expect medals. Organizing country always has more athletes than usually. In these London games GBR is the biggest delegation ever (564). USA is not far (539), but China have nearly 200 athletes less than GBR (384) and European countries average around 300 (half of GBR)... Hi. I was in Baccara Friday evening.There were many dancers inside, way over 100! They had a lot of customers too, but upstairs was not packed as often on WE; maybe only 2/3-3/4 full I think. No problem to get a seat. There was something unusual though: very few BF ?? I left at about 10:15pm and only 2 numbers were erased (BF) on the board. I counted on the board and still 43 girls upstairs on 45 present 1 hour before. I use to see at least 10 BF when I left at this time... (They write the board about 1 hour after they open, so early BFs do not appear here). Lot of customers with dancers company and lot of LDs though. PS: Maybe fewer BF because guys wanted to go see the JO opening ceremony? I will return this week to see.

Hi MM, I am not sure if I am one of those you speak about here, but I have maybe 2 or 3 times used my daily quota of +1 on Gabor. It's a very small and quick work: just ask for a list of post-only from the member; a quick serie of Ctrl-Clic to open them in new tabs; then a serie of Clic"+1" and Ctrl-W on each onglet. 30 seconds? 1 minute at max. I did that to compensate Gabor's reputation when several people clearly were doing the same at big scale with "-1" clics on random posts, sometimes very old and often having now reason to be minus-oned. BTW I liked Gabor reports, but I already gave him "-1" on some of his "anti-secretologist" post...

Hi, I visited Spankys last week, and last night again. My impression is that the title of this discussion should be changed... . They were 22 dancers when I come at 11pm, and 20 yesterday at about 9:30pm. 9-10 at each time on stage. The agogo is rather big and was far to be "packed". Entering Spankys at about 9:15pm, the number of customers inside was... 1. With me they had 2. I saw 3 or 4 pretty faces and 2 pretty bodies (my criteria). I would class the line-up above average for WS, but not any special. I didn't liked the many ladies smoking inside the agogo. At least the manager (not here) use to go outside to smoke. Will try again in some times...
