The air-con power question ! Must be as difficult as the fair price for a BG I think that many places have way over-sized air-cons. The only advantage that I see to a strong air-con is that if you arrive in your room after days of very hot sun outside you will get a comfortable temperature more quickly, but it's so rare! In real life and even in hot season (April) I don't think my air-con take more than 10 minutes to make the job. Hi. This Shell petrol station has a very bad reputation for years but it's the only one in the area so many people continue to go there. We already talk of this scam years ago here and on many Pattaya forums. In 2008 the managment take some action and even published photo of scammers. Hi, Thanks for taking the time for pictures and a report :) I don't know Vietnamese food, but examples here don't look much different of some Thai food. Looks good. I am not a fan of "All you can eat" places as I am a very light eater. First 3 plates I would have been full already. That's though sometime a good way to test new food, mainly when portions are not too big, like here How to understand exactly the "Left over food will be charge at menu price" ? Another point: It can be an cheap and fast way to send a packet/parcel to/from Bangkok. Just bring it to them, with clear indication on it of Name and Mobil Phone Number of the person in BKK, pay a small fee, and the person just will have to take it at Victory Monument about 2 hours later

In the other way, Pattaya -> Bangkok, main "departure stations" on Pattaya Tai are opposite Friendship (~100 meters after/Est of Tukcom, 97 baht) and in front of the FamilyMart behind Center Condotel (150 meters before/West of Tukcom, 100 baht). Others "stations" in Pattaya North/Naklua and Jomtien. Last time about 2 hours with a start at 7am.

It should I just suppose from the commercial point of view it's better, as the beach here is North-South... Northpoint next door made the same thing... BTW it will soon be a too high density of high buildings in this area. Zire is supposed to be build on the area below between the 2 NorthPoint towers and the 2 Sky Beach ones ! Some owners of theses condos certainly will not be too happy...

Hi Zaris, What make me go so rarely in restaurants is that in most places the menu is far too copious! I am not a big guy and not a big eater, in most restaurant I can barely eat half the food of the basic menu... I did like The Strogonoff restaurant (now closed) because he had a "Small Menu" with just 1 entry, 1 main plate, 1 dessert. I like food courts because I take what I want/need and will not pay for many food I will not eat. Ok, not everyone like me, but it use to be a fair number of customers for the "Small Menu". I've heard many ridiculous stories about this small crematorium, but it's the first time I hear about "odors" . Seriously, I live "over" this crematorium for more than 4 years and I have never notice any odors coming from it. I several times heard about "the black smock of the crematorium who enter everywhere and all the time in the appartments of the condo" . The reality is that it's a small modern crematorium; the smoke is so "clean" and fine that most of time you can barely see it, and there is always some kind of wind or stream of air arround the condo to dissipate it very quickly.

Excel Language Centre, near Big C South Rd/Sukhumvit. You must have 3 or 4 schools just around Big C Extra on Central Rd, and many others. And why would you go to the border if you have an ED Visa ?? The big advantage of ED Visa is: No more visarun :) You just have to go Jomtien Immigration office every 3 months and give them documents the school prepared. Not a Thai word required yet. Investment is still one of them (10 million baht I think) but I consider that marrying a Thai girl is a too high price for a visa ED Visa is the good option today for "young guys" Keep in mind you don't have to learn only Thai.
