My taxes worked out at £108, 335+108= £443, I was hoping for £425 inc but I have booked my seat as well. The Taiwanese girl showed me her screen with the seat layout for that day, this showed what seats were available. Interestingly the back section of economy wasn't available, I think this may be due to weighting the aircraft correctly with it's centre of Gravity. Probably fill the rear up last. It looks like the new airport will open in late September, I know TIT but it looks on this time. I have to make my mind up before 15th August, but I may go to Pattaya instead of CM. It just looks like end of September/ early October Rainy season Pattaya.

Just planning a quick trip, possibly to Chiang Mai. Would I be able to through ticket my luggage LHR- Chiang Mai if arriving Bangkok on Eva and departing on Thai Airways domestic? I know when I flew in the reverse direction last year the Thai Air CSA at Chiang Mai made me check in domestic. She said I could not send my bags direct via Eva to LHR. This was a pain, waiting for my bag at BKK domestic and then taking the long hike to International depatures. I think I know what the answer to my query is gonna be as Thai don't seem to like Eva. I will give it a few days but I am sure common sense will prevail and I will go late September and 4 weeks November/december.

I am thinking of making a quick trip to LOS and have been looking at fares a lot just lately. Eva is a good deal but I think you have to book before 15th august, maybe Thai has the same cut off date.

Lounges are usually around £18 and LHR it is the Servisair lounge, not sure if it is any good as I use the SAS London Lounge. I suppose the deal will eventually go to 25% off then disappear. Iam going to Prague on Sunday for a couple of nights and have booked the lounge at EMA through Egg.

I have found out that if you have an Egg credit card you can have lounge access at 75% off normal rates. Amongst the many lounges it is valid at LHR servisair lounge and Louis tavern BKK. You book the lounge on your Egg credit card at normal rates then Egg give you a 75% rebate. This means that you can have lounge access for about £4.50 and get Of course I know all of you High rollers who travel Business do not need this anyway

Up to You Myself I think it is money well spent, but that is the London Lounge at LHR, can even have a shower and get rid of the clinkers before the long flight, plus they have cold Singhas as well. Go for it.
