  1. Please explain what you mean by this. Unless they bring the girls to you, it seems you would have to use the baht buses to get around Pattaya. SoCalGuy
  2. It looks like the cheapest room at the Sunshine Vista is 1320 Baht per night during Low season, plus 7% tax. This includes linen change only two times per week. Is it really that much better than the Sandy Springs at about 1000 Baht per night? SoCalGuy
  3. Step, I'm assuming that you meant "tictravel@loxinfo.co.th". I may give them a try. Thanks. SoCalGuy
  4. ting_tong, One of the things I find so appealing about Honolulu is that along with the ultra-casual style of dress due to the year-round warm temperatures, comes women that are relatively minimally-clad (A/C is not all that prevelant) all over the place. Basically, it's flip-flops, short-shorts, and if you are lucky some varient of the halter top. Not much is left to the imagination. Of course, not all all the women are true visions, but enough are to make it interesting (to me at least). Enjoy your trip to LOS! SoCalGuy
  5. Mike_Hunt, Since you are located in Hawaii, do you get this low fare on JAL? If so, that is quite a deal. My understanding is that the carriers are pretty much JAL and China Air from Honolulu to LOS. "Lucky you live Hawaii" SoCalGuy
  6. Gordon, Thanks for posting the review of the Sandy Springs! I was wondering if you paid with credit card or not, and if you found any "mis-charges" on your bill when you checked out? Thanks. SoCalGuy
  7. Emil, Please tell us how you were able to get such a great rate at the Eastiny. I assume it was a walk in rate, and you charmed them with a big smile. Seriously though, did you bargain for the rate, or were you lucky enough to just receive it unrequested. Thanks. SoCalGuy
  8. Mattelyo, Did you notice much room noise from the A/C unit or the fridge fan? Sometimes they both can be quite loud. The rooms look similar to the Sandy Spring on soi 13. SoCalGuy
  9. Redmessage, During your stay at Sandy Springs last Fall, did you have a regular room a or a suite for the period? SoCalGuy
  10. Flash2034, Actually, I have not used that agent, I came across the link while doing a Google search on Sandy Springs in Pattaya. Please post to the board the results from your booking, if you are pleased or not. Thanks. SoCalGuy
  11. Has anyone used the following website to book Sandy Springs: http://www.scandibar.com/hotel/sandy/ They have a notice that reads as folows: It sounds like this would save the 300/350 Baht charge from the hotel. They also indicate the following: SoCalGuy
  12. Ramster, I can understand your confusion regarding this topic. I think that the Sandy Springs Hotel is located just about where the Pattaya Beach Condo is shown on the Baht Bus map, or very close to it. With the Sportsman on one side and the Haven on the other. Others, please correct me if I am mistaken. SoCalGuy
  13. Monochromeman, Please tell me if the food you are referring to is at the Captain's Corner restaurant, located next to the Residence Gardens, or some other eatery close by. Thanks. SoCalGuy
  14. Lookn4domi, Thanks for the info on the Marriott. I suppose it is not possible to get those end rooms you describe when going through online retailers like asia travel and others. Maybe you have to call the hotel directly. The room sounds very appealing though. Any suggestions as to how to get a good rate would be appreciated! SoCalGuy
  15. lookn4domi, Since you have stayed at the pattaya marriott so recently, please tell us what the room rate was that you paid, and the online agent you used. If you would be so kind. I have read reports that the rooms are somewhat over rated. Apparently you do not feel that way. SoCalGuy
  16. Jimmy, Your choices sort of fall in line with my two top picks: Sandy Spring ( Soi 13 ) Eastiny Place ( Soi 8 ) I believe that the Eastiny will be a little more spartan than the Sandy Spring, but quite comfortable nonetheless. SoCalGuy
  17. OnMyWay, I live in the San Diego area, but not all that far from Long Beach I guess. Which carrier do you use when you fly out of LAX? My favorite is Cathay Pacific. Thanks for posting the pics! SoCalGuy
  18. Bigmike, Please enlighten me as to how you work the threesome. Do you start out the evening with the trio experience in mind, and search for suitable candidates, or do you find one BG in particular, and then try to get two of her friends to come along for the fun? Thanks. SoCalGuy
  19. Onmyway, Did you use the safety deposit box at the front desk? SoCalGuy
  20. Bazzap, Did you see the pool guy cleaning/treating the pool when you were at Sandy Spring? It is hard to tell if the pool looks clean from the photo. Thanks. SoCalGuy
  21. Safe deposit boxes robbed? Boy, that is not very encouraging! SoCalGuy
  22. aniteowl, You may want to look at Areca Lodge, or Sandy Spring. Both are relatively centrally located, and have a pool. I believe the Sandy Spring may be trying to go the "family oriented" route, and may try to charge joiner fees. That is only what I have read though. Let the board member know what you decide upon. SoCalGuy
  23. partyanimal, Yes, the location does sound terrific! I have read that the Sabai Lodge is getting a little run down these days, with AC units that leak. Do you know if they are upgrading any of their facilities? SoCalGuy
  24. Ling, So Sandy Spring only has a bath tub. That is surprising to me! You mean they don't even have one of those detachable shower heads that you hold in your hand while directing the water flow? Man, in this hurry up world who has time for a bath, except with certain invited friends. SoCalGuy
  25. Vegasdave, Other than getting a great fare for your journey on Cathay Pacific, you don't sound too terribly enthused about the airline. Would you consider using them on your next trip, or would you opt for another carrier, such as Eva or others? SoCalGuy
