Hi, I've only been outside it in a baht bus. I know some people who have stayed there and it is an upmarket place where you can stay isolated from all the nightlife of Pattaya. Not a mongers hotel and some people stay inside it's grounds for their entire holiday. I like getting down and dirty with the lowlife mongers(even though I am a gentleman)so it's not for me.

Hi, In my experience the buses leave from the No 1 bus stand. The buses are always Air conditioned , and it's no longer than a car journey (around 2 hrs)

Hi, I usually stay in BKK before heading to Pattaya. On a few occasions I've gone to Pattaya direct I've used the buses as well. I always book a flight to arrive at a suitable time. As BigD says if you arrive late best to get a taxi.

Hi, IMO a business of some sort is a must. Maybe a B+B type establishment with some rooms, small bar and cafe? Wages are low so hiring is not a problem. Working for others is not an option in LOS unless you have an ex-pat salary from a Blue Chip company.

Hi, I know it's not scientific, but the baht seems to strenghten in high season and weaken in low season. With election coming and uncertainty in the air I'd say the currency will weaken. It's a gamble but getting up in the morning is a gamble.

There is a rail link at DM into Bangkok Hulamphong that I have used a few times but I think it's not very regular. The new rail link for new airport is a dedicated shuttle link, I believe.

Hi, Hotels around there are reasonably priced small hotels who tend not to have websites. Siam Sawasdee is the only hotel I know of that has a site as part of Sawasdee group. Maybe you could get a boardie to check it out for you in exchange for a few beers.
