My experience with bcbs and Bangkok Hospital is that they bill directly for inpatient care. Outpatient, you pay and file a claim on line. Works reasonably well, but with the demise of the internet cafe, you definitely need your own computer and scanner.

If I remember correctly, the RAF flew the Nimrod, the military version of the Comet, until fairly recently.

Forty years ago Hawaiian was flying DC-9s between the islands. On the other hand, it was Aloha which proved you could fly a 737 open cockpit. Aloha #243

Flew on a 717 once, with Bangkok Air, I think. If so, they didn't keep them. Still had the new airplane smell.

I'll start. The security guard who thinks he is helping me back into a parking space by blowing his whistle and waiving his arm.?

In light of his recent health history, I fear something more dire although his last visit was on April 1. If it was the last visa run, I suspect St. Peter's first question was "Did you really do Mok?"

I heard of Pattaya in 1974. There was the suggestion that there was nightlife, but you went to Bangkok for your upscale sinning. Made it to Pattaya in 2002. Stayed at the Residence Garden because of what I had read here--good choice. Then I discovered the old Dollhouse and I was happy.

Thanks, that worked. I think I'm still in the window for doing it online.

For the moment, 90 day on line reporting is not available. The link is still on the immigration web site but doesn't work.

Lens Replacement Surgery Trip Report
nkped replied to keyman's topic in Doctors, Dentists, Clinics and Hospitals
I'm glad things worked out well. Nothing succeeds like success. As Jacko mentioned, it has to be the same surgical procedure as cataract repair with a difference in the replacement lens. I wrote up my experience with cataract surgery 4 years ago at the Rutnin Eye Hospital in Bangkok. It's only a few topics down in the subforum. The experience and costs were significantly different. The thing which put me off BHP, was the possibility of the surgeon wanting to do the procedure without a local anesthetic. -

A lot of it, I attribute to "supposed to". -
There's a new Jetts Gym in the Royal Garden shopping mall. Haven't been in it, but their location on Sukhumvit has free weights.

Drove past it this evening. The sign on the front of the clinic building, which looks new, includes Bangkok Hospital. I think that is a change. -
If I took something which knocked me out that effectively, I would be afraid I would wake up to discover Joe Kicker had replaced St Peter.

I want to say the signage says Jomtien Hospital, nothing showing continued affiliation with Bangkok Hospital. -

Appears it is no longer affiliated with Bangkok Hospital. -
What is your Exchange rate "tipping point"?.
nkped replied to Butch's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I once figured out what I would pay for the same service now as a % of my income and the price may have gone down. -
What is your Exchange rate "tipping point"?.

Fifteen years ago, I seem to remember 29 baht to the USD. Of course, I also remember 20 baht to the USD in 1975 but a red note went a lot further then.
