I doubt it as all the characters in the story are fictional except two and they both have very small parts. One you may be able to recognize and another most people probably wouldn't. There are parts of the story's background that are based in fact (locations of course) but the events for the most part are entirely fictitious. I would also like to thank everyone that has spent their $2.99 or less. Since I posted this on the three main forums you have helped skyrocket my book in to the top 55,000 selling kindle books on Amazon! Before the book wasn't even in the top 1,000,000. I t

Thanks for the tip. I'll check them out.

I expected that from you Paps. What took you so long? Anyway, I realize someone of your intelligence may have difficulty understanding that many of my TR photos were taken by other people with my camera, sorry I was too lazy to blur myself out when I was in the shot but I was always under the assumption that any photos were better than none. Also, I'm not paranoid about having my identity known. Now if you want to call a TR an example of self-promotion, be my guest, I haven't been rewarded in any way by sharing my TR's with the board and would be happy to delete all of them if they

Yes it would as you have proved. Thanks. However, the result is a little different depending on where you are. https://www.google.com/search?q=The+Midnight+Train+Destination+Pattaya&oq=The+Midnight+train&aqs=chrome.0.69i59j69i57j69i60l2j0l2.7575j0j7&sourceid=chrome&espv=210&es_sm=122&ie=UTF-8

Typing the title into Google will provide you with some links to the retailers if you don't have a favorite, or you can type it into the retailers own search engine if you do. Either way, it's not that difficult to find if you want it. There may be price differences as well so another reason I don't want to direct people where to buy. Thanks for the congrats Mook.

Yes but it's a pipe dream right now. I'm working on a second title that has nothing to do with Thailand but it is difficult when I still need to maintain my regular job. Thanks MM, I think I made the FLB sound like a must see.

If it even makes it on a torrent site, I'd be honored.

Hey guys, I don't really like to self-promote but I will in this case. I've had an Ebook for sale online for almost two months now. The title is "The Midnight Train: Destination Pattaya". I've written it under the pen name of David Geoffries. The story is a fictional account of a young Thai woman moving to Pattaya with hope of helping her family and a middle-aged man taking his first trip to the city we all love. Sound familiar at all? It's a mix of romance, sex, despair, sex, stupidity, sex, conflict, and more sex. It's the first entry in a planned Midnight Train trilogy.

I have stayed in the LK Metro area most of the time for the last five years worth of trips (about 10 trips). Although I rarely take the baht bus on the route you are talking about, I will honestly tell you that the majority of my 10 baht rides the baht bus turns right at Second Road and if it has turned left, it has always stopped and forced everyone to get off.

Here's some old shots I took somewhere between 1986 and 1989. A few of them were taken in Chiang Mai.

World Cup, want to watch in Pattaya
LBJ replied to benny27's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I remember that night like it was 2010! What a championship game, 0-0 after an entire 90 minutes on that giant ping-pong table they call a field. I remember I was trying to take a break from alcohol that night but after the first fifteen minutes, I fell off the wagon hard. I heard Spain finally managed to score, is that true? -

Asiana B777 crashes at San Fransisco airport
LBJ replied to dennismoore's topic in Airline Discussion
Also heard that the airport's glide slope beacon or whatever it is technically called has been offline for the last couple of months. That shouldn't make a difference on a clear day but obviously the plane was too low when it reached land. -

Not on the internet, on this forum. if you are a member (many I do happen to know) you can read them if you choose. You don't seem to understand the reason for trip reports. They are for the readers to enjoy just as I enjoy reading others when I am not in Pattaya. Also I believe if I didn't include photos I actually took (personal photos) it wouldn't be seen as genuine. Would anyone actually dare to lift photos off the internet and claim them as their own? Huh? Huh? There is no ego trip for me, this is no different then a travel reporter that writes articles for a magazine. I'm trying to m
