I agree with Cisco - it could be that your credit has timed out. I don't see how you would have incurred charges if you had not made or received any calls or texts.

I was in HCMC recently and the hotel there did not want to keep my passport (unless I wasn't prepared to give them an imprint of my credit card for potentially charging mini-bar purchases).

Fellow BM Raj and I went into X-Zone at about 00:15 today. We ordered drinks and to my surprise double what we had odered arrived. I looked surprised and the waitress girl said: "You "internet"; right?". The gynaecology table size has been increased by about a third, which enables greater audience participation. The place was not heaving but had a very respectable number of customers. I saw a management looking falang guy and introduced myself as I thought it might be Neville (the owner), and I wanted to speak with him. However, it was Phil, the former manager of Windmill (who posts on the forums as misteregg). It seems he has moved to X-Zone and has been there for only a few weeks. This is great news IMO - the place needed a falang manager and Phil has huge experience. Nev seems to be very receptive to feedback from the forums and is running an excellent establishment. I hope we reward him with our support.

I came into Swampy last evening on an Air Asia flight. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that there was a "snake queue" system now in place, and it took me no more than 10 minutes to get through. Now the negative. The ribbon used to guide people along the "snake" needs to be re-inforced with barbed wire for the Russians.

I was in Bangkok on Monday and Tuesday evenings and I have to say my favourite gogo in Cowboy and Nana combined was Spanky's. This is despite a group of about 10 guys from (I think) the Netherlands which got into Spanky's on both evenings which included a few annoying prats - in particular one guy who was in the shower cubicle completely stripped off on Monday evening, and stripping off on the main stage until completely starkers on Tuesday evening. Frankly, I can do without these male exhbitionists. Now the negative. I went to Spanky's Soi Diamond this evening. Just no comparison with Nana. Not enough customers, not enough girls. It's easy to spot the effort going into the place but sad to see it's not really succeeding. Good (value) draught beer though.

I am 100% with Tom on this. MM, how can it be "misuse" if you will not define what the proper use is? Talking about good and bad posts is inadequate unless you explain what you mean by good and bad.

I know you don't take all this stuff seriously, but some people will. I have to say I don't like it as people are using the system in different ways. Despite what you say, people will inevitably rate the poster not the post. Witness how Villa's and Gabor's ratings have soared in the last week. Someone mentioned that this was the reason Addicts stopped using it. And what is a "good post"? Is it one well expressed/informative or one where you agree the views set out in the post? It looks to me that most people are using it in the latter way. If it is to be used that way, then there is an equal need for the red button as the green button.

It really depends what your needs are. If primarily you want to relax by the beach, I'm sure this place would be good value. If you want to spend your evenings in Patts, it's probably not the best place for you - see location: http://www.expat-condos.com/jomtien-beach-condominium-map.html

Anyone thinking of following up on this ad might want to check out where the unit is relative to the ATY Karaoke and Lola Beer Bars. Those places cause a lot of distrurbance to some of the people at Avenue Residence.

So let's try to get this clear, what is the purpose of these + and - buttons? I'm sure many people have not been using them in the way MM suggests above, particularly after his previous comment on the subject - That's what the Green PLUS sign at the right lower corner of the post is for! So, are the buttons to say: i) you agree/disagree wih the comments, or ii) you think the post is a good/bad post? I think it would be good if the authoritative response could be pinned.
