  1. Check out www.skytoppattaya.com Cheap but good hotel for 450 and up. Good location on 2nd Rd near soi 6. One of the rooms has a kitchen. No range but tosteroven. Discount available during low season or long stay.
  2. Clubs have been shut down for 30 days because of underage girls. It's easier to just check everyone ID.
  3. In the US prices start to drop after 15 September and go back up for late November thru mid January. They drop again until June. I usually pay from Philadelphia, Pa to BKK around $750 including taxes on UA. Cheapest I ever paid was last May when Cathay Pacific made a mistake and posted a fare for $88USD return. JFK to BKK. They even gave me frequent flyer miles.
  4. I'm curious, why would a guy bring a lot of cash money on vacation? When you have the availablity of traveler checks, atm, credit cards, etc. I carry all of the above and bring $300 to $500USD in cash.
  5. I need a good tailor in BKK. I'm looking for decent quality and reasonable price. Thank for any assistance.
  6. Think of the major nighlife section of Pattaya as a rectangle. You could walk the total distance in about 2 maybe 3 hours. Almost any hotel is in the middle of everything or a short baht bus ride. With no traffic you could drive the route in about 15 minutes or so. In low season the longer you stay, the bigger the discount. My hotel suggustions, I've stayed at the following: www.skytoppattaya.com clean, cheap 450 or less. www.flippergroup.com clean, good place 800, www.sabaiinn.com another good hotel 800 or so. Check the review section. Lots of good hotels, some not so good. Check the meeting section for reliable car and driver. I and many others have used Alex for the trip from BKK to Pattaya. I like his service. Couple of guys didn't. FWIW, Pattaya is the BEST drug, I've ever used and it is addicting in a major way, 19 trips and still counting.
  7. Sky-Top doesn't have a pool. Good place to stay and the owner Pete will discount during the off season.
  8. Since my credit card was cloned when I used it at the Flipper Lodge last year. I pay cash plus I don't like to leave a paper trail.......
  9. I've stayed at both, I like the lodge because my favorite massage girl Urai give full service for 500.
  10. Call Rick 066 012923683 or email tradeforce66@yahoo.com He has a good mini van that will take you to Pattaya for 1500. Tell him Denny sent you
  11. My credit card was cloned and 15KUSD was charged. I didn't have to pay. I stayed at the Flipper Lodge on soi 8 and I used this card only there.
  12. How sweet it is.
  13. Looks like Alex offers a excellent price compared to Thai limo, 1500 compared to 5K.
  14. Check the meeting section on this board.
  15. Guy asked about ride to Pattaya in another thread.
  16. I had a good dinner there 10 Feb.
  17. IMHO central location is anywhere from South Pattaya Rd between Beach and Second Rd down to Big C as any location is a easy baht bus ride. How much are you looking to spend per month? Your comming into low season so all sorts of deals are available. For 8k per month plus electric, I rented a studio size room #101 at www.skytoppattaya.com Good location on Second Rd near Soi six. Small guesthouse, friendly staff. Another good place cheaper, Soi one going toward Beach Rd on the right about 25 meters before you get to the MarkLand Hotel. Small newish apartment bldg. rents go from 6500 for a studio. Nice place. Let us know what you find as I come for up to two months at a time.
  18. I came back to the US on 11 Feb and during the month I was in Pattaya it was party central. ;D
  19. CC company wrote it off. I was not libel for the charges. Next time I stayed there same employee's worked there.
  20. I'm one of the scaremongers that had my cc cloned at the Flipper Lodge to the tune of 12K. :'(
  21. I'm trying to figure out why guys are so negative on Asian package hotels. I stayed at the Pattaya Park Hotel in Jomtiem, lots of asian tourist there. Other then the elevator stopping at every floor to let people off, hotel was fine.
  22. Check out Sky-Top Hotel on page two of this section. I stayed long term for 8K per month in room 101. I had to pay the electric. Great location. It's a nine room guest house, friendly staff, high speed internet, etc. Tell Pete, Denny sent you. It should be good for a discount or a laugh. ;D www.skytoppattaya.com Yensabai Condo has been written about many times. Good place to stay. I think I paid 400 per night. www.pattayarentaroom.com Your comming into low season. The hotels will discount for long stay.
  23. Why don't you check out the review section.
  24. Good idea, I've flown on many different airlines and back in the cheap seats. The service tends to be the same. The only difference I've found the SQ and Thai flight attendent's are the best looking. United on most of their flights offer Premier Economy which gives you 5" more leg room if your one of their elite flyers. Red Carpet Club in the US is mearly ok. No free beer or whiskey. Foreign Red Carpet Clubs offer free drinks. SQ and Thai clubs are nicer with better booze.
  25. I've read they are going to start JFK to BKK non stop. If I remember correctly they are waiting on new long range Airbus.
