  1. They like any room where a guy is willing to pay them as they say, "easy baht".
  2. To the guy who responded in another thread, I can't find your post. Sharing a car works well. I fly in to NRT on UA 881 and I arrive 3PM. I'm in the exit row 35A. I have access to the club in NRT and can get you in as a guest. BTW,all the top shelf whiskey, wine and beer you can drink is on me. I can bring one more guest into the club so if any forum member is in NRT at the same time. It's my 'shout'. NRT-BKK, I'm in 35K exit row.
  3. I stayed there with my daughter couple of years ago. I liked it. You can't beat the location but there are better values for the money.
  4. Steve, Don't wait, jump now. With airfares, he who hesitates pays more. Just ask BigKev and the $88USD JFK-BKK return fare, I turned him on to. He missed out but I booked it.
  5. I've flown all the airlines you mentioned and I like SQ the best. No frequent flyer miles with the cheapest ticket. Thai would be my second choice.
  6. Looks like a good deal. Nice room. How far from Carrafour? If I stay there do I have to look at your private parts and just how often do you want to show me?????????
  7. I was just checking Expedia.com for October departures and the price has dropped from $1400 to $790. Great price.
  8. Excellent restaurant called the White Knight across from Butznuts on the same soi as VC Hotel.
  9. Actually it's quite simple. Spend less then what you make.
  10. There are decent jobs in the US trucking industry that pay from $40 to 60 K per year That don't require a degree and youth. So many jobs one could spend 3 to 6 months in Los and go back to the same company. Where their's a will there is a way. Guys who had investments the last 20 years and rode out the lows made a fortune in the 90ies. I sold out January 2000.
  11. My two pensions are backed by the full faith and credit of the US Government. I draw a civil service and disabled veteran pension. Bottom line, civil servants take care of civil servants.
  12. From 2nd Road walking toward Beach Road on Soi 1 about two thirds of the way down on the right is a small three or four story apartment building. Cheap with excellent Thai couple who manage the place. Studio goes for around 6-7K per month. Check out www.skytoppattaya.com Cheap but good hotel.
  13. IMHO $400USD for a business class seat both ways is a great deal. I figure it cost $11.76 per hour for the extra comfort and sleep. Well worth it in my opinion.
  14. Yes it's in a "gay area" and when I looked under the bed for A-rabs and ped-ophils non were there and no pofters either.
  15. Nice report. I always ask to be bumped. Luv the freebies.
  16. Marry up, it worked for me.
  17. I retired when I was 44 and it was the best move, I ever made. I'm well suited for retirement as I don't like to work. It's been 14 years since I walked out the door. With your assets and a reasonable rate of return on investments, I'd do it.If your interested in make money in LOS check out www.ajarn.com
  18. I've stayed at the following cheap hotels and can recommend them. www.skytoppattaya.com www.pattayarentaroom.com Yensbai Condo Both have AC,TV,fridge, in room safe and they are clean. Sky-Top 450 and up. Yensbai Condo 499 per night and it's a better buy as the room is HUGE. Both are near the nightlife.
  19. Now if they could just field an army that could win a war or at least keep the Germans at bay until we get there..........
  20. I read Thai changed the policy on FF miles during the summer. Cheapest seats don't qualify. This being Thai they could have changed their policy.
  21. Be careful booking Thai and SQ. Cheap fares don't qualify for FF miles.
  22. With the price of jet fuel going thru the roof, IMHO all the old rules are out the window with regards to sales and I would book my trips now.
  23. Last time I stayed there it was more then safe returning home late at night and the last time I looked there were no Arabs staying in my room. Yensabai is a good place to stay. I would stay there again.
  24. Only you can make yourself look stupid. Keep up the good work.
