I agree with PUF. I always enjoy a good game.

Good place to stay. Huge studio room with kitchenette, 25"TV, AC with fan, fridge and in room safe. Nice pool and it's only a 12 minute walk to Walking Street. Low season I pay 499 per night.

I follow the Thai custom and leave the loose change as a tip. If I have two or more in my party, I'll leave a little more. If I'm in a bar drinking for awhile I'll leave 10 or 20 depending on how long I'm there. When I ride in a cab, I round up. Thailand is a no tipping country and let's keep it that way.

The taxi you get in Pattaya is BKK based and when the driver goes back to BKK he stays in BKK till he gets another fare to Pattaya. That could be days later. If your talking about the private car services out of Pattaya then I've never heard about a staging area. I wouldn't be surprised if there was one.

If you want to keep her away from the P4P scene but still be close to MBK and the Sky-Train then you want to stay at the Twin Towers Hotel. Excellent hotel with pool, shopping arcade and restaurants. I've stayed there three times, once with my family and I highly recommend it.

US Air opened a new terminal Philly about a year or so ago. Months late and way over budget. Some of it was due to new post 9/11 security requirements but it was a disaster when it first opened. What you expect us to deliver your luggage the same day you got off the plane. FORGETABOUTIT as we like to say in Philly. Now it works fine.

Yensabia Condo has AC and fan www.pattayarentaroom.com Good place to stay for 499 per night.

You need an international drivers license to be legal. You can rent a car without one but if you have an accident the insurance company may use this as a excuse to not pay.

I don't like to push my luck, I have the decency to wait until I'm in the club and then I hand out the business cards.

I would add www.pattayatrentaroom.com Yensabai Condo for 499 per night is a excellent choice. Huge studio room, in room safe, 25"TV,AC, fridge, kitchenette and it's a 12 minute walk to Walking Street. -
It's not a long walk from the Areca Lodge to the bars. There's a beer bar complex less then two minutes away.

I stand by the club door and ask a member to bring me in as a guest. Many clubs have a two guest policy. Your right, I have no shame.

Thanksgiving Bookings-Nov24th thru wknd
BigDUSA replied to av8r's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Loy Krathong weekend many hotels are booked out. I always liked having my hotel reservation in hand before I arrive. -
The Mope: This guy does not even think about puting on his glove or taking out his driver until it is his turn. Damn I like this guy, he even practices safe golf.
-
The weather decent from October thru March. Instead of it being a three shirt day, it's only two.
-
I want the hotel to take her ID card and call me when she leaves. It's for my protection. winnie, Your the only guy on here that can make you look like an ass. Your doing a fine job. Keep it up.

Short has the right idea, ya wanna get you and 3 other non golf playing guys. Shit load of beer and BG who don't know how to play and then make sure you tee off RIGHT BEFORE the FLB guys. Guaranteed you will have a fun day. I would recommend riding in a different van as you might, just might get clubbed to death on the way back. Just a joke guys.
-
You have to book on their website www.nva.com I should have mentioned that in my original post. Sorry!!
-
Email the Queen Victoria Inn. Bert has it in the bar and might be persuaded to run it to your room for an 8 month stay.

Last trip when UA paid for my hotel when they couldn't fly me out on the day they were supposed to. I used Mo Chit to go to Nana Station and walked over to the Aussie bar where I got a very nice massage. I'm familiar with that stop, N1 as I walk over to Pantip Plaza from there. I've stayed in BKK a few times during the 20+ trips I've made to LOS. I might even use the subway next time I'm in town. No word from Thai, American Express is supposed to get back to me later in the week.
-
I've flown with QANTAS and the service was OK. They served me as many drinks as I wanted. Flight was on time. I would fly them again.

Old BKK hands wouldn't send NEWBIES with luggage after a looong plane ride traipsing around the Sky-Train looking for a hotel. Cab is easier. BTW Sky-Train is fast and efficient but best used another day.
-
When they get out of customs tell them to make a left and walk toward the escalator and go up two floors to the arrival area. Step outside and grab a taxi there. Tell the driver meter and motorway. Taxi driver will think they are old BKK hands and won't try and rip them off. Price of 250 is about right.

Limo from Bangkok to Pattaya
BigDUSA replied to sidurian's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Thai limo is expensive and I used thm years ago and the driver DIDN'T know Pattaya and neither did I, nor would the mother fucker ask directions. this was my first trip. Anyone care to guess how muck of a tip he got? Mr Churchill recommended this service and IMHO looks more then OK. updated taxi transfers bkk-pattaya, 2005 taxis in the meeting section. I would also recommend Alex but his prices have gone up. -
It's located on Soi 7 near 2nd Road. Small guest house.
