  1. Last time, I stayed at the Flipper Lodge there was no extra charge for a guest. Good place to stay. Check out Urai who works as a massage girl. I give her 300 for the massage and 500 as a tip for full body to body (therapeutic) massage.
  2. If there is you can bunk with Soi7. Just be careful when he tries to give you a 'reach around'.
  3. No. Check with Pete at www.skytoppattaya.com for availability. Do it now.
  4. Two trips ago, I was out of customs within 17 minutes of landing. My bag was the second one that came out. Second fastest was Changi in S'pore, I was out in 25 minutes.
  5. Few years ago UA flew HKG to Delhi on UA metal. I made the flight and spent two weeks in India. They may still have over flight permission?
  6. I hope this comes to pass. I'd love to fly non stop from Chicago to BKK.
  7. I keep a 'death grip' on that 20 baht note until I get 10 baht back. I only pay 5 baht for the girl.
  8. Join the member section. Good idea to book your airfare a few months ahead and at least one or two nights at a hotel. BKK and Pattaya are safe places to visit. Welcome aboard.
  9. Two weeks ago, I was talking to a guy at the FLB who was staying there. He said there was no problem bringing guests as he had a different one each night.
  10. No problem getting a taxi or car service at the airport. Make sure the driver understands where your hotel is located. Last trip I used the car service at the airport. It cost 2K including tolls and worked well. See if anyone on the plane wants to share a ride to Pattaya. When you get to the hotel. Lock up all your valuables and don't bother to shower. do that when you get back. Many bars are open late. I think the Sailor Bar on soi 8.
  11. I noticed the same thing, no smokes for sale. What a drag.
  12. This was during the afternoon and the road was dry. Traffic was not heavy at the time. Shit happens. Have you ever noticed how few Thai drivers wear corrective glasses? I wonder how many of the are as blind as a bat with out the radar system.
  13. I carry TC, cash and ATM card. It's a debit card without the Master card credit side. ATM card is useless without my PIN #. I only use ATM machine at banks. I do this if the machine sucks up my card, I can easily get it back. Make a copy of your passport face page and entry visa. If you lose your passport very easy to get a new one.
  14. Hub, Not that you would ever be guilty of this. Ya right.
  15. It wasn't an accident. The plane flew toward the ship and the Captain ordered the plane shot down. edit in: if I remember correctly almost all the bodies on board the flight were naked.
  16. I flew to LAX via Japan. Thai is running a special fare from JFK. Check travelzoo.com
  17. The expat's I talked to give their live in GF 6 to 10 K per month. Plus they have to come by the condo and buy a drink everyday and get permission if they want to go to BKK to go shopping. Why pay 30 baht each time I want to get back to the hotel on soi LK when I can pay 10 to get back to Sky-Top? Adds up day after day.
  18. Good advice from brotherbuzz. I'd write a letter to CEO of Delta and pitch a bitch. You have a confirmed reservation that's paid for. I flew UA over and Thai back. What a difference in service. Thai was the winner in all aspects. Way better food. They came around with wine 4 times. I had steak back in the cheap seats. They gave out tooth brush and paste if you needed it. UA squat. If UA wasn't so convenient from Philly..........
  19. I don't get a commission nor do I need one. The reason I want guys to mention my name it's a way to figure out how much power this forum has to throw business one way or the other. Lot of guys from here have stayed at Sky-Top and many are repeat customers. Lots of new places on Soi Buchow (s). My impression and a friend of mine confirmed it you need to rent a motorbike to get around easy. Next trip I'll have to spend more time up there and try and figure out what's up. Guys should post details on all the new places like Soi7 does. We cheap Charley need all the good cheap rooms we can find.
  20. Less then 15 minute walk to soi 7/8 or easy 2 minute baht bus ride from Beach Road.
  21. It's a 3 or 4 minute walk to soi 6. Even my elderly BG in a walker have no problem making the walk from the back of the beyond. Ting Tong, Just as your internet pricing is wrong so must be your vision. This place is CLEAN and yes the rooms are small but it's only 450 per night. There are rooms available during November.
  22. The place is clean. In room safe and excellent location on 2nd Road. Around the corner from soi 6. Are there better places to say. Sure. Are you still running from the guy who was looking for you? If I remember correctly that's why you ran away from Sky-Top, not beause it was dirty.
  23. Pete the owner has informed me of early next year at the latest, he will be able to offer guest staying at Sky-Top FREE in room high speed internet for those who bring their own laptop. He has also informed me that those customers staying for more then 7 days will go into a yearly draw for a FREE 7 night accomendation as the prize. Start date is 1 November 2005 until 31 October 2006. BE there or be square.!!
  24. Before they discover the wonderful world of boys and she gets her drivers license. Mine got her's this week.
  25. I would recommend the Pattaya Park Hotel. Your on the beach and they have a water park. Your away from the nite life but easy to get into town. I've stayed there with my daughter twice and she liked it. So did my wife.
