My impression and a friend of mine confirmed it you need to rent a motorbike to get around easy. Next trip I'll have to spend more time up there and try and figure out what's up. Less then 15 minute walk to soi 7/8 or easy 2 minute baht bus ride from Beach Road.

It's a 3 or 4 minute walk to soi 6. Even my elderly BG in a walker have no problem making the walk from the back of the beyond. I would recommend the Pattaya Park Hotel. Your on the beach and they have a water park. Your away from the nite life but easy to get into town. I've stayed there with my daughter twice and she liked it. So did my wife.
