Same same but different. -
I enjoyed that article; thanks for posting it. I was the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia champion in 1982, probably a total of less than about 500 players in KSA at the time, mostly in Jubail and Yanbu. The rallies in competitive RB in the US are very short, in my experience much different than squash. Many end in a kill shot often called a "rollout" because it hits so low on the front ball and with proper spin it will virtually roll back giving your opponent no return shot. To me both squash and RB provide just as good of a workout when competitively played. But then in my opinion Rugby and US football are just as strenuous and one's favorite tends to be how and where they grew up as a youngster.

I'm still grinning about your earlier post on this thread that racquetball is slower paced than squash. You're not doing it right.

Thanks, and if I was in the market for a place in Pattaya I would be at your doorstep. We were in town a week or so ago and drove by it by just riding around the area. It reminds me of our place in Bangkok in that it is a 30 to 45-minute or so walk to get to most places that would interest a farang. That might "be too far away from the action" for some but a good location for a walker and someone who values peace and quiet over hustle and bustle.. My view is the buyer will be someone that sort of keeps to himself, values a quieter location and wants to live a nice place almost stealthily downplaying his means. Those cautious type are often "real money rather than time wasters" and in my little world often rent first guys. You might attract that type of buyer sooner by offering a rent-to-buy option rather than dealing with time wasters looking for a steal. I've seen a post by P on Facebook about the condo. That might be a good place to advertise more as well. Any way, buen suerte and good presentation.

Let me ponder that and get back to you ..... Ok, I've thought about it and no sale.

EX PATS RUNNING HOTELS WANTED FOR NEW TV SHOW!

... and although I may have missed the threads, Ms Sophie seems to not have made the same post in similar forums like PA, PS/PC or PL. Seems a conspiracy brewing if so ... MGDN to the thread. -
^^^ In the US that is often called "crown molding" and finding good finish carpenters who can do it well is difficult. We have a small place in Loei which took several years to build for various reasons, amongst them scarce finish carpenters. We eventually found a guy who pieced together 3 different trims he located at TWS to make one molding. It's relatively easy to find rice farmers and sugar cane cutters to do concrete and rough carpentry work in Thailand but good finish work carpenters are rare. The guy we used is now a monk 555.

It will sell in time to the right type of buyer, i.e., someone that wants to keep it for his/her own use. One of the terms used in the US by buyers negotiating for discounts is that the seller needs to take more of a "haircut." As noted you're already into your scalp by about 250,000 Baht. That Avatar is a fair depiction of your hairline ... you have no more hair to give ... 555 joking. Buen suerte with finding Mr/Ms Right.

Well ... I've met LL and he's one of the good guys in Pattaya. I don't know much about "Nordic Investments" but it surprised me to get an unsolicited eMail for them to my personal eMail account from PA. I'd sure rather do business with someone known to many in Pattaya rather than the many dodgy Pattaya entities pushing A - Z including shilling websites and forums. But I acknowledge ... you get what you pay for and forum memberships are free. Just be careful who you deal with and personally I wouldn't deal with anyone not referred to me by someone I trust. Unsolicited eMail recommendations from some anonymous administrator on a Pattaya monger forum ... meh not so much. As far as guys equating LL's Euro standard build condo with the Nirun price point ... you're having a laugh.

^^^ and it will be a solid transaction. Just like you can rely on PT board to not share your eMail address (needed to register with any forum) with "advertisers." Not saying these are, or are not trustworthy but it is a bit worrying to get unsolicited eMails directly to your personal eMail account from advertisers such as Nordic who have spent time being profiled by Andy Drummond. More worrying is how Nordic got my personal eMail addresss from PA. Must be their "policy" and likely noted in the sign on agreement you consent to. There are 3 main investment types used all over the world Real estate investment Stocks and shares - investing in businesses Bonds, fixed interest saving accounts etc. We believe we have found an investment option that offers you all the positives from the different types of investment without the negatives. Investment Options 1. They can offer you the peace of mind that you get with property investment, the secure feeling of having invested in a tangible asset, this security comes with out the ongoing time consuming duties and unplanned expenses that come with property management. 2. They can also give you guaranteed returns, so that you can make plans around your returns knowing exactly what you will be receiving. the reliable returns that you get with fixed savings accounts. 3. Although they offer guaranteed returns, it doesn't mean that the total return on your investment is fixed, they guaranteed returns are fixed though out the investment term, however there is the potential for the final pay out to be larger than your initial investment. So the potential is uncapped like with property and stocks and share investments. 4. The offer is a minimum 10% per annum guaranteed return on your money for between 5 and 20 years on secured investments. All of this is being offered by a company that have been honoring their promises to investors for nearly 8 years now and are only getting stronger. One of AD's articles about Nordic http://www.andrew-drummond.com/2016/02/im-confused.html Caveat Emptor ... buying from someone you can trust is worth a lot anywhere, including Thailand.

That might make it less unbelievable. -
From Houston it is about the same time of travel and distance but other than the occasional special fares from Emirates and Qatar ... the EVA, Korean Air and Disunited prices going west tend to be cheaper.
-
I doubt any major airline flying a trans-Pacific route advertises travel the same time duration in each direction. Travel east is almost always quicker than west due to the polar jet stream +100 km and greater "tail wind." It can make it 3 - 4 hours longer to fly westward from NA than eastwards from Bkk depending of the route taken and time of the year because the jet stream varies over the year. Going west airlines will try and keep out of the jet stream while heading east try and get in it depending upon the effect of turbulence.

Where's the best places to go for Songkran
VPI78 replied to Mr_Rabbit's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
You can do both, Bkk limits its Songkran madness to a couple of days lately always before Pattaya celebrates Songkran. Pattaya drags it out for a week. If it is your first time, go to Bkk and hit Silom first in the early afternoon and then Soi 4 Nana later. If that doesn't get your fill you can make the trip to Pattaya and get wet for the next 5 days but the last day is the big day in Pattaya. If you go to that don't plan on getting and rides out of there for 24 Hours as any roads open will be jammed assuming a taxi would even consent to go. As far as girls go, many go home for Songkran just like anyone else does anywhere else on a major holiday but there will be plenty around willing to take your Baht. -
It was good and John does the Lobster fest monthly but it is often too much food. Last time we took a whole Lobster back north with us and the wife turned it into several meals including her signature "Lobster-fried rice." 555 If you'll indulge me a bit more, I don't mean to TF this thread, but I wandered over to the Soi 15 Hooters for Buddha day yesterday afternoon and tried the chicken wrap which when paid for with the easily obtained 20% discount card comes in at a more reasonable 330 Baht and found it to be good. A few more shots of the place, gratuitous line dancing included; then for me it was over to P{P{ for the evening and a pizza at Madrid which was serving as usual factored by beer being served in paper cups. As a courtesy to them no shots of the inside from last night.

555, sorry but tobacco and quality in the same line is like cancer and inconvenience being equated. No judgement intended but the fact that tobacco is still even allowed to be sold today given its documented carcenogenic impact is remarkable.

I find UAL fine but then my home airport is IAH/Houston and UAL has in effect a monopoly there although EVA is about to open a direct flight from IAH to Taipei. UAL has also rescinded the no free alcohol on international flights they they took after the Continental merger. As it is today, on the 11-hour haul from IAH to Narita UAL uses newish 777s and the flight attendants come through at least every couple of hours with water trays in addition to the 4 to 5 food/drink services they provide during the flight. Available water brought to your seat hourly seems fine to me.
