  1. San Miguel Light. I use Leo.
  2. He must have been "Quality" because at least he was clothed.
  3. There is some real entertainment on fakebook these days by comedians like Ward/Sharky, Noyes, and Harris B. At times it is difficult to choose who is the funniest since they are all so lame.
  4. Yeah, but he might bat from that side any way.
  5. T The locals here in Erawan call those Tokays sort of similar in that in the Philippines they are called Toku. They catch them on a noose attached to a bamboo pole and generally hunt them at night. There is a market for the tails in China.
  6. Maybe they are drinking the beer and downing those bowls of liquid. No wonder Gabor is so fond of Thai noodle soup.
  7. It can be that way in many/most US cities, i.e., it is sometimes described as the BMI Buffet Syndrome. These days we are fortunate to have a wealth of authentic, i.e., not just Chinese buffet places in drag, Vietnamese restaurants in the US Gulf Coast region. I imagine it is one of the effects/consequences of the Vietnam era. Regardless, it is a welcome option to BBQ, Mexican ... or Chinese.
  8. Judging from a look around in Jomtien yesterday, it might be a different high season this year, i.e., far fewer ruskies than in the past few years, since the sanctions over Ukraine seem to have devalued the rouble severely. Ivans outside Putinland are having trouble getting back as some of their tour companies are collapsing.
  9. It is summer vacation season in the US. Flight prices typically rise now as they do at other Holidays.
  10. So that's where the "if you like it you can keep it" comes from ...55555
  11. She's hunting for overdrive.
  12. Op, a slight tangent to your question, but I have found this site to be helpful in understanding comparative cost of living expenses in various location pairs (enter any two cities you prefer). http://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/compare_cities.jsp?country1=United+States&country2=Thailand&city1=Houston%2C+TX&city2=Pattaya It isn't 100% accurate but it is not too bad.
  13. To this end, a spokesperson for HIA confirmed to Doha News today that during busy periods, “remote stands” – aircraft parking spots away from the terminal – will need to be used to accommodate all flights, meaning that some passengers will still need to take a bus to their aircraft.
  14. Norton does that 3x the price for automatic renewals BS also. I let mine expire and a week later they were still reminding me to renew, so I just went to their website and entered a new subscription and the charge was about 1/3 of the automatic rate for the same software. Slimy bastards.
  15. Sizzler's salad buffets in Thailand are all you can eat and like their places in the US the salad bar is no additional charge if you order an entree. So what Gabor is saying is his buddy orders some entree, often as inexpensive as 249 Baht and gorges on the salad bar which includes chicken and tuna salads, soups, desserts, and other things like in the US ... and has his entree bagged for consumption later; in effect 2 meals for 249 Baht plus tax.
  16. Is that second quoted sentence supposed to be in English WAC? You of all posters should be more accomplished at CnP.
  17. It wasn't Patna but rather the board big picture visionary WAC.
  18. Perhaps in general, but myself, every once in a while I get to jonesing for salads/salad dressings and the salad bar at Sizzler's can be nice. The weekend buffet at Beefeater can be good and relatively balloon-less also.
  19. Maybe Wac has become a Bankster.
  20. Neil's is good. I like the JW Marriot New York Steakhouse almost as much but Neil's is the best in Thailand for steak in my opinion also.
