You might be talking about the Apex, still there and showing movies. Yeah, the old Washington Theatre was a great place to see a movie. Almost as sad to see it become the Mambo as to see WS deteriorate. The Sportsman succeeded the Mambo and a smaller version of the Sportsman migrated over to the Trendy complex on Soi 13 last year. It seems to be thriving there and is a good place for a value-priced Sunday roast lunch/dinner ... just 195 Baht which is a great price for Bangkok.

Strolled around the Square this afternoon and took a few shots to share. The script isn't the issue when mailing from an international address into the US; rather the problem is the FDA and USPS require that the exporter be licensed to mail the product. That extends to individuals. Yeah, I imagine plenty of people do it any way, but then there are plenty who also fail to notify the Treasury Department that they have foreign bank accounts. The penalties are severe for either non-compliance if they decide to prosecute you as an example.

The FDA would frown on it. Legally, you have to have a license to mail prescription drugs to/from the US even if the country of origin does not treat them as prescription medication ... and I suspect something like Plavix may require a prescription in Thailand even if plenty of places pass it out like cough drops.
