  1. Would imagine the bookings would be very heallthy at least in economy
  2. totally agree but the other poster claimed it was in for maintenance for 21 days. That was known this time last year. Thai have sold those tickets knowing full well people (in general) prefer the A380. Once the "known" rostered aircraft reached capacity they announce the change. I worked for trailfinders for 11 years I know exactly how they work
  3. Really try reading again. "inbetween flights" and my distrust of somchai and his bike spanners and his mai pen rai attitude Full and Interim services are undertaken in Frankfurt Servicing intervals (unless serious defects) are known 12-15 months in advance
  4. Why would anyone be using the public taxis from Suvarnabhumbi to Pattaya when Nams, Mr T's, Meows and other providers will wait at gate 3 for a 1000 baht to Pattaya no tolls added either I recall someone mentioning many years ago the airport taxis were charging 1500 to Pattaya I cant imagine hopping over barriers with luggage to save 200 baht on probably what will still be a higher fare to start with
  5. https://www.businesstraveller.com/tried-and-tested/flight-review-qantas-b787-9-business-class/?utm_source=Business+Traveller+International+Newsletter&utm_campaign=8841e93b8f-Your_weekly_business_travel_brief+Mar+29+17&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_0f9ce7ba66-8841e93b8f-162953081
  6. This is where they are utterly shight. That maintenance session will have been known a year in advance at least yet they were openly selling seats with an A380 rostered on the sector its bang out of order. I will never ever fly them again (did twice) long time ago but would simply not trust somchai and his bike spanners on service issues between flights
  7. Re Qantas Sydney London non stop....updated article http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5551917/Qantas-reveals-plans-new-cargo-class-passengers-exercise-super-long-haul-flights.html
  8. Agreed absolutely that was my first thought. It was on Business Traveller couple months ago will see if I can dig out the article
  9. Qantas have approached Airbus and Boeing and asked them to build a jet that will do this hop in one leg by 2022
  10. Bit bewildered by the hoohah over this flight seeing Qatar already have a longer sector in existance daily to New Zealand from Doha (not by much I agree)
  11. Bizarre Evas economy on the Combi was 34" pitch and attracted plaudits from around the world and people saddened when they were laid off
  12. ah ok I thought perhaps it was just one of those days but clearly not
  13. Not on their 787 no but have on other carriers and they are not good either.
  14. I flew on Qatar on their "premier" flight QR002 to Doha in summer of 2016. Evening departure 9.30pm (think its 8.30pm when its GMT) and it was on a A330 with the most appalling leg room and instrusive underseat entertainment boxes I have ever seen. Notwithstanding that we were parked on a remote stand and bussed to the terminal 2nd leg on A380 was fine same in reverse sectors
  15. not sure anyone was implying that as such
  16. its showing 10 across in first image...agree at first glance it does look like 2 seats on the wings but its 3...look carefully and you can see in addition the images later ARE indeed 2-4-2 god alone knows what they are trying to display there
  17. going 10 abreast on the 777's https://www.businesstraveller.com/business-travel/2018/03/05/british-airways-releases-images-ten-across-b777s/?utm_source=Business+Traveller+International+Newsletter&utm_campaign=1ff8f504f3-Your_weekly_business_travel_briefing+Mar+8+17&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_0f9ce7ba66-1ff8f504f3-162953081
  18. So you were flying internationally in turbo prop aircraft ?? Oman aviation started in 1993...read right hand side for precis. Try winding your fucking neck in next time
  19. 1979.....?? Not even in existance till 1993. Decent airline and new Muscat terminal opens in march https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oman_Air
  20. I walked right beside this place Saturday night absolutely empty. Wont stay open much longer I would imagine
  21. You may be right but as i said earlier in the thread cant think of one single reason in using UTP if you're pattaya bound
  22. UTP is at best 15 minutes closer to pattaya then suvarnabhumbi. I cannot for the life of me think of one reason why it would be better for pattaya bound visitors. You'll find the taxi companies even charge higher than the usual 1000 baht swampy/pattaya
  23. yes looked quality product as i walked by last year to cattle (which was very good i will add)
