Do you Book direct or through a Travel Agent?
Rawhide2 replied to Butch's topic in Airline Discussion
I've highlighted one word. Have never seen or booked a fare from skyscanner (which powers travel supermarket as well) which doesnt include baggage. Never once on international flights london to bangkok Acknowledge you mention short haul european flights as well -

I use online agents never personally had a problem appreciate others may have -
Couple of guys Ive spoke to since OP highly recommend it for the money if you're not overly fussy (which Im not) They both stay there semi permanantly 4 months at a time on monthly deals
-
Offering some pretty low monthly low season deals. Anyone stayed there am interested but knowing location is there a fair bit of traffic noise ??
-
its lower than the figures above.at weekend at TT 41.65 now

Reading a few articles yesterday over this. I didnt think the A350 had the range. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-qantas-results-airbus/qantas-eyes-larger-airbus-a350-jet-for-sydney-london-flights-ceo-idUSKCN1L80MC

Lot of people bailing on winter trips. Some seem to go through 10,000 a day with ease but no one can burn £250 daily continuously including hotel Euro and aussie dollar weak adding to the demise of visitors. Lowest "high" season on record coming up
-
TTs were 41.78 earlier albeit picked up slightly since then to 41.87 currently
-
Yes the Baht ended 19 Satang stronger against the Greenback from the start of the week to last nights close. That will exercebate Steling/Baht declining rate with both pairings double whammy in the wrong direction
-
Yes agreed every sim from every network obviously going back prior to smartphones has worked via dongles no problem as normal in Thailand
-
AIS True and DTAC all have similar plans for "always on" connections rather than unlimited at high speeds Think the one I use is 212 baht for a month. First 2gb of data at top speed and then speed throttled for rest of month but still plays youtube no problem If anyone wants it just let me know and will dig out short code

Yellow TT at time of post is 42.15 but Kasikorn traditionally the lowest will likely be in the 40.s at time of post

An Interesting thread..................
Rawhide2 replied to firth1974's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I had some food in that rockhouse couple years ago it wasnt the best but like always you vote with your feet subsequently. Clearly the waitress thought it was poor and kept asking if it was ok. In the end I actually said no its that good and this fat geezer rounded on me clearly linked to the place jesus wept he went off on one. Never been in the place since and always empty when I walk past on Metro -
What to do if your Luggage doesn't arrive in BKK

Totally agree anything that stands out works a treat -
What to do if your Luggage doesn't arrive in BKK
Rawhide2 replied to Butch's topic in Airline Discussion
Most luggage goes astray because some numbnut has picked up the wrong bag invariably one of the black rectangular ones that form 70% of any carousel You can avoid it by tying some brightly coloured green or pink string around the two grab handles 3 or 4 times and trimming it. It serves two purposes in that you'll spot your own bag very easily and secondly will stop 99% of cases where some tit picking up the wrong bag by accident. Works a treat -
Their Dreamliners which will operate the route are not configured in sardine fashion as per charters of the past. Spacious

Last 2 months its weakened out over 2 Baht now and still continues to degrade good news for everyone (unless paid in Baht)
-
Well I can only speak from extensive personal experience on the two immigration areas but I'll rephrase it in that have never ever seen the preferred immigration area that I'm referring to with a longer queue
-
Rather then individually quoting above posts no I dont see the huge queues at swampy because still 90% dont realise there are 2 immigration slopes. The vast majority of arriving aircraft from Europe and middle east land to gates to one side of the airport In short if you are approaching immigration signs and the slope up is on your LEFT and as per normal lengthy queues carry on walking another 150 metres and turn left at the second one If you're approaching immigration and the first slope to immigration is on your right then bang you're already at the best one. Some will already know
-
Baht has consistently weakened against the Dollar this last 2 months and long may it continue as its the all important ratio no matter whatever your base currency. A weakening move out to 35 would be very welcome for everyone unless you're paid in baht and transferring home
-
Am not sure checking in at Chiang Mai has any relevance to the thread to be honest. I dont see these huge queues at Swampy either possibly because I aim to be there 3.5 hours before take off to check in first and get to lounge early. Yes on occasion the queues can be longer at immigration to depart but rarely more then 10 minutes tops. Its a big airport minor delays just part of our experience Only my opinion but same take on Heathrow. People complain incessantly but never a problem outbound or inbound 10 minutes tops at scanners and inbound immigration

Am just going to a dummy booking see what it comes up with in economy. Appreciate you're in Biz

I'm at a complete loss as to why anyone pattaya bound would use this service to save 15 minutes in a taxi. The addition of Yangon stop for an hour where likely you'll have to sit on the aircraft (I was on a different carrier) plus single aisle 319 aircraft puts the end to the route in my opinion eventually

Sterling/Baht finished Friday the highest it was all week. If Sterling/Dollar stays relatively calm early Monday taking into account time difference should see 43.25 at TT's give or take couple satang either way when they reopen (they like most exchanges mark it down for weekends) The exchange that beats TT each time is that Red Top currency exchange if you're walking down Soi 8 its on your left around 50 metres down. Unless you're changing a bundle though might as well use the TTs as plenty about
