I see this ban being enforced about as much as no smoking in bars. Can't see police patrolling the beach looking for smokers to hand out citations to. As an ex smoker i still do not have a problem with it in bars but am all for it on the beaches simply because smokers continually use the beach as an ashtray.. FFS now beer will be 20 baht more as i will have to send the vendor to 7/11 everytime

I was there once and had the Philly Cheese steak, was not impressed. i also didn't like the English manager of gAsco telling me Chang was the places beer. No selection? Seeing both Evil's and MGDN photos of a chili dog with beans on it is a off putting as well. The reviews are great which definitely means something and i will give them another try, just not in a hurry.

Beans on a hot dog or hamburger is every bit of wrong IMHO. In all the places i have had chili dogs and chili burgers -- and that is a lot -- i have never encountered that. I'm with Harvey on chili con carne with no beans, on the side is fine. Evil is right about chili being made so many different ways. I like it a few different ways as well. Definitely spicy when eating it on it's own or with chips or corn bread. I don't think it should be too spicy on a dog or burger as it tends to kill the flavor. That said i do like chili dogs and chili burgers with pepper-chinos on the side

Kiss is ok to fill a hole and push a turd. People talk about how cheap the prices but i prefer places like Tin Cup or other "aharn dtam sang" spots. If i see Kiss and am hungry sometimes i walk up soi Diana to the Diana Dragon, a little pricier but better food and menu.

Both China Eastern and China Southern have some very attractive fares. I have heard economy is very cramped -- more than usual -- and some flights have no entertainment systems. Also pretty poor food and the airports don't offer much for waiting times and layovers. Anyone with any experience of these two carriers?

Unfortunately i have had to spend a bit of time back in L.A. recently. I just started using the Firefox free extension HOXX and has been working out very well. They also have a premiere membership level but i have not yet had the need to look into it. Hope this helps

Let us know how your flights were. I have been thinking about using them for a while but they always seemed like China's budget carrier along with China Eastern. I use EVA, they are not great but like an old shoe i know what i am getting. EVA had basically the same schedule but quite a bit more expensive so interested to hear what you thought of them

I like NY Pizza but they are a bit pricey. I also find Domino's good, maybe because i used to order them a lot in the U.S. Their small pepperoni delivered for 149 baht does me just fine.

This crackdown is one of the more serious ones i seen recently. I think it will all blow over but wondering how many tourists will be tainted and start heading elsewhere like A.C.
