  1. They are refurbishing the original wing from June 1st. There was no noise in first week to speak of as they ripped out all the old furniture. Just avoid the sea views on the other block if staying in the other wing over next few months as the noise from the construction of the View Talay Condo and the new shopping mall can be a little loud at times. 2. Try Bangkok Pattaya hospital-expensive but quality work always is. Chivas
  3. Chris All completed no problem. Tax to pay at check in is exactly £40 credit card or cash. Have sent my email address to you via messaging system-PM dont seem to be going through for some reason. Chivas
  4. Have you a number for this service centre in Cheadle as I dont have the Emirates handbook ?? Chivas
  5. Fair price lets do it. Im a trusting guy !!!! Lets get the miles into your account first and you can pay after.I can email you with an invoice via nochex once miles are allocated to your flight etc. Tell me how to do it. Chivas
  6. Sorry I was away in Pattaya. Yes would be interested in Etihad miles. Are you sure we can transfer the emirates miles ?? Will email etihad and see what they say. Chivas
  7. For UK nationals wanting to go out first week in July, Westeast are offering Eva at £556 but must be booked/paid by 15th June. Considering Qatar is £600 + and Etihad £650+ I reckon its a good price. Chivas
  8. Likewise UK summer prices are escalating beyond belief in uk, but which happens to coincide with low season in Thailand.
  9. As you say a return on Etihad is circa 35,000 baht to UK. Ive previously paid just under 25,000 baht one way via pattaya travel agents so certainly good deal. By all means send me his email/phone via PM. Chivas
  10. The Gatwick flights are being reintroduced later this year (late summer I recall) for certain days of the week. Forget the details without going into my system but if you go into westeast or wherever and put in some dates youll see Gatwick reappear on the schedules. Chivas
  11. Assume that was one way at that price ?? If by chance it was a return would you kindly let us know where you purchased the tickets.Thanks. Chivas
  12. Yes one of the 777-300ER was out for two days of servicing as I was actually trying to book Eva's flights on one of those days to be told "no flight". Because of the timings I believe only one round trip was "out of action" as it were. Chivas
  13. Sure-send me a PM if you like. Chivas
  14. So its fair to say my offer is generous ?? Chivas
  15. As posted earlier I am willing to transfer/sell Emirates to a total of 31,000 miles. Will take £150.If you are based in uk can invoice you by email so as you can pay by credit/debit card. Chivas
  16. If Emirates or Eva frequent flyer miles are tradeable than I have high miles on each that am willing to offload. Chivas
  17. Err yes I do have access to the complete reservation systems and not just the maximum of 9 seats available in each class of seating in economy. Thats why I can tell you and anyone else thats interested that both carriers are wide open (within reason) Im sorry but Etihad has skyrocketed in price (I will add in "general") either by removing the amount of cheaper seats available or by other means. Chivas
  18. I have around 31,000 miles on skywards which wont increase as have switched allegiance to Etihad as my reserve carrier (to Eva). Am quite happy to trade those airmiles (if Emirates allow it) with yourself or anyone else. I did email skywards in Manchester re this before but didnt get an answer. Chivas
  19. Completely incorrect. Price on Eva and Thai is £443 plus/minus £4 depending on dates and the flights are wide open on both carriers via Westeast Travel. Chivas
  20. Indeed the pricing on Etihad has skyrocketed recently with the removal of the Gatwick option and the double departure out of Heathrow implemented. Chivas
  21. Likewise,it is low season but those fares are excellent. Even with the horrendous rises in taxes etc, prices are still only around £440 non stop. Chivas
  22. The Prince hotel and overall site is being redeveloped and this has been common knowledge for sometime. However as always with Thailand rumours abound re start dates etc but as I had an interest in if/when it was to start I have known for sometime that April 28th was commencement day. The bars underneath the Prince must be aware of it, as prieviously mentioned two bars were selling off beer wholesale, at firesale prices last week during the day. Remember what happened in Bangkok a few years ago when the bulldozers rampaged through the bar area near Soi Cowboy (if I remember correctly
  23. According to the bar owners below the prince and opposite demolition is due to start 28th April but being Thailand what year is probably the point in question ! Couple of the bars below were having a daytime firesale of stock last week so obviously they are all shutting imminently. Chivas
  24. Please NO NO NO You try living in a soi with rabid dogs everywhere.Fucking nightmare. Chivas
  25. Might be sad and unfortunate for Gatwick lovers, but if the plane was a quarter full at best on 15 outbound sectors, than its only surprising Etihad didnt pull the plug earlier. Chivas ps personally thought they were excellent value when I travelled with them
