Personally wouldnt dream of scheduling my arrival at Gatwick/Heathrow by any form of transport, with any less than 3 hours to spare. Its a complete no brainer to do otherwise IMO. Wouldnt call you a twat but its an expensive lesson to learn-its takes me between 24-30 hours depending on airline used to get to Los, door to door, so whats an extra couple hours when you travel that long ??

Likewise the restaurant at end of Jomtien beach where the road literally ends is excellent and very cheap compared to walking st.

Not so sure that this has anything specific to do with soi 6 as such. If the 6pm-2am licence opening is upheld everywhere, then bars/clubs all will close sooner or later including the likes of TQ etc etc
-
Yes my Ex (bless her) received official notification that her bar can open as of now, 6pm to 2 pm inclusive. Thats soi 8

You are much safer and better off having a reception/lobby safe, in somewhere like the Flipper Lodge or Flipper House then an in room safe at a less well known hotel, whereby staff come and go, and the cleaners have free access to have a "pop" at your room safe if they desire. Most of the reception at the FL have been there 10 years plus and main receptionist since it opened in 1989.

Hi Tom, Eva is indeed handled by Air Canada, but nearly always has Eva Ground handlers checking in the old first (on the 747 as it was a few years ago) and Premium Laurel. Debbie Phillips is always out front on premium check desks, in Evergreen clothing. I did have her email address for the OP and will try to find it. Chivas

The "top girl" on check in, is a Debbie Phillips who deals with first and business class (normally). Uk national so youre not dealing with a Taiwanese. Have had dealings with her twice, and kept her name because of quality service. Suggest you write a letter to her (as youre not leaving for 3 weeks) at Eva in London appealing to her better nature. Make the excuse better than the one youve listed here though !! Goes without saying dress smartly.

Make sure you can change inbound for a fee, as currently I hold a ticket on Etihad where neither outbound or inbound is changeable whatever.
-
Eva were my carrier of choice for a long long time but in last couple of years service has declined beyond belief along with zero air miles on 1 month tickets, loss of business class lounge for silver card holders, dire food, crews who want to serve the meal asap on take off and sleep themselves, have lost me as a customer for the forseeable future. Etihad and Qatar are far superior with frequent flyer schemes in a different class.
-
Members that like to use Etihad should note that Jet have an air miles agreement with then now. I intend to use Jet before xmas so will post experience here.

For anyone looking for cheap economy flights Qatar are offering from their own website, plus agent websites £480 for London departures through Bangkok. Max stay a month though. Just put in numerous random outbound/inbound dates and fare is certainly available. Chivas

My transit times on Qatar were 50 mins outbound and 2 hour inbound so fine for me.
-
Well somebody had to live there..................
-
People should be more grateful that they live relatively near airports like Heathrow,Gatwick or Manchester. Try living in Cornwall and talk about flight connections, trains or coaches. My next trip will see me arrive home after landing at Heathrow at best 9 hours after - at best !!

Brinks Matt was solved conclusively, but sadly for the insurers and plod most of the swag has never been traced.

Is the seat pitch, and width of seat as I stated ??
-
Jet have been pushing their economy seats out at around £500 recently. High ratings by travel "experts" Seat pitch not to brilliant at 31" but apparently the widest economy seat in the business at 20" What is this "Danosoft" bollacks on your posts ?? If its meant to be my isp and browser its totally wrong !
-
Assume that the £350 must be inclusive of taxes ??? If it isnt cannot be any of any financial use to Thailand bound pax, once you add KL to BKK on top.

Whats Septemeber Like in Pattaya??
Chivas replied to jogsuk's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
WTF Just which planet are you from ? Do you not consider that by posting utter bollacks as usual, that you may well have put people off coming to Thailand in September, as you have posted in an open forum that everyone can read ? Do you not consider that just maybe, someone who was going to spend his brass in the FLB will now not do so ? No didnt think so. -

Is this the most expensive taxes/surcharge yet ??
Chivas replied to Chivas's topic in Airline Discussion
The price of a barrel of crude has now dropped to below $125 a barrel and oil companies claim a stabilisation of pricing. Hopefully the worst may be over for now, partly because the demand for the product has clearly dropped. -
Just received email from lazy vacation stating availability of seats in august at £530, plus a whopping £307 addition for tax/surcharges in an economy seat !!
-
Seat pitch for Gulf economy according to "airline quality" site is 32-34" now. Not listed on seat guru.
