Ok still not exactly sure what you guys are referring too but amongst others I have a "Netsim" from AIS. Netsim is actually printed on the Sim-however whilst I thought it was for data only its not and works in a mobile (thats capable of accessing the net) plus works in an unlocked dongle ,PLUS can be used as a voice sim. Guess its a marketing ploy ??

Evas own website were listing same prices as OP two days previous +/- 10 pounds

You've lost me slightly-explain what youre trying to do again ??
-
I accept what you say to a certain extent CT but I likewise have Gold on Etihad and clock 150% air miles every round trip in economy giving 19,500 miles, with 75,000 required for freebie. But a £1000 + more to me is crazy for a 12 hour period.(Make no mistake I could afford to pay it though). At 6 foot 4 I aint small, but have no trouble in standard economy.
-
How do you guys feel about so much extra for Club or First ?? Do you pay it ?? I am definatly not a cheap charlie but I just cannot for the life of me justify £2000 upwards for a bigger seat as compared to £400-500 for a duration of 12 hours or thereabouts ?? And am very tall as well. I just cannot justify £1500 extra for sitting in an aluminium tube thats gets me to destination 10 seconds after premium seats !!

Try Etihad if you fancy a short stop in Abu Dhabi (2 hours on average) or go Eva if you fancy non stop. Eva on occasions are cheaper than the rest. Check out westeasttravel.com or netflights.com

As Jacko says packages are very cheap and I use a 50 hour AIS package for 200 baht plus vat total 214 Baht. Just over 4 baht an hour-you can buy other packages with less or more hours. Unlimited use for a month I think is 999 baht but check to be sure-similar prices via DTAC

There is no mobile broadband yet within Thailand although 3G is on trial in Chaing Mai Currently. Best you will get is "Edge" which in Pattaya will be fine re the signal. Figure 3-4 times speed of dial up but not guaranteed. Use AIS or Dtac sim-both will do the job. I use a E156 dongle modem which is fine and easy to configure. I do recall when buying it that it was compatible with Macs but check first.

Very good price indeed. Did you buy from airlines own website ??
-
Likewise received this morning and put in dates for next trip beginning April for a month and available (which is more to the point) Quite a long wait in Doha going out though, around 5 hours but coming home only 2 hours.
-
No you pay for airtime the signal which you can pick up in the lobbys PC'S or via your own laptop in room or by pool.
-
Incorrect you need to buy air time at reception but you can pick up the signal in the rooms, and on the rooftop pool you can pick up the signal likewise and also from the Sunshine Hotel which uses the same network.

Is that for the audit of the kindergarten club ??
-
Sorry but what are you referring to ?? If you're 32 years in the industry perhaps you can explain different origins ?? Perhaps you are referring to departure country on first sector ??
-
Or £921 at 36 baht to the pound the last time I purchased tickets in reverse in 1995 !! Tickets were no different in price from today (slightly more if anything)
-
Nothing wrong with the price but colleague after flying with them was not very complimentary about the Mumbai-Bangkok leg as Jet use a 737 apparently, which was configured with rather small seats in economy. He is rather tall though.

How much does it cost for a flight from London to Bangkok
Chivas replied to stewieg's topic in Airline Discussion
Just booked Etihad £413 early February via Netflights out of Heathrow. -
Very interesting if it does what is says on the tin ? Will give a sample booking to them and report back. Edited immediately ! Once you submit the details of sample booking/genuine enquiry they purchase without further notice and bill you. Theres no option to enquire only !!
-
Yes but he wasnt going Lon-Bkk-Lon, but in reverse. Fares not the same.
-
To early to book although I appreciate some guys like to get it done and dusted early. Depending on exact dates youre still only looking at a 3 month ticket. Me I would be viewing prices mid march for early april departures. Is that sterling equivalent at present forex rate or are they quoting sterling anyway ??
-
Yes also £403 end of January via Etihad.Especially cheap for time of year. Just booked for a month and would have expected around £460 on Etihad.Etihads own website has fares from £392 via London.
-
Hard to imagine Etihad or Qatar would quit bearing in mind the massive plane purchases both airlines have recently made. Times change though ??
-
Both the Flipper Lodge soi 8 and Flipper house soi 7 will respond to you within 24 hours via email. Also Bella Vista answer promptly in cut through between soi 7 and soi 8. The problem with no reply's is the stupid Thai "Loss of face syndrome" The booking clerk/receptionist doesn't understand the email fully and rather than losing face and asking somebody they just ditch and delete the email.
-
Because smart arse when the OP made his enquiry and as I suspect you well know, the prices were substantially more.
-
Price dropped to 389 pounds now. Put in January 28th till February 25th and price confirmed as above. Tempted to book now as I believe they have a air miles agreement with Etihad. If anyone can confirm that or otherwise would be grateful ??
