The problem with the new 777 in Elite and Economy is not the seat pitch, which IS identical to the old 747 layout, but the fact that on recline in both classes the seat pushes forward underneath your backside and if you're tall, whacking your knees into seat in front. Also, whos ludicrous idea was it to produce footrests with a diameter of one and half inches in economy which when not in use reduces seat pitch by same ?? Chivas

You are perfectly okay holding the visa that you have. Chivas

You're right on easter of next year.I would book it soon after xmas but prices will be on the high side.I was "obliged" last Easter to follow the school timetable and best we came up with was £568 on Emirates out of Gatwick. Eva,Thai etc were all £700 plus. Chivas

Can you buy viagra in Pattaya
Chivas replied to silverspur3's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
This is absolutely not a flame but do you guys who buy over the counter drugs and in particular viagra ever consider you could be buying any old shite at the pharmacy when theres no prescription requested. (Sure you could get any old shite WITH a prescription) One dodgy batch with a guy with an unknown heart condition and maybe adios for good to Pattaya. Surely its better to go up the Memorial,Pattaya Inter or Bangkok Pattaya and get a prescription from the quack and get the drugs from the in house pharmacy ?? Chivas -
Silver is an additional 10kgs but Gold is an additional 20 kgs over standard allowance. Chivas

Where can I buy globes in Pattaya or Bangkok?
Chivas replied to jackcorbett's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Not sure if the sellers are still there but if you go into Tops from the Pattaya Klang traffic light entrance and go up the escalator there was a shop selling globes that were superb but expensive around 30,000 baht but take it from me they were good ! Chivas -
You can indeed pay at any 7-11 for an additional 10 baht on top of your bill. Same for electric but you can only use this payment option for normally 7 days from date of bill otherwise its a trip to there offices for payment. Chivas

You're on peak prices as week prior to Easter.Take the fare offered. Chivas

I still cant see how you can have a "live in" on an operating budget of 20k.

Absolutely. That just cements my move to Emirates where I still receive 19,000 plus miles per round trip with a gold card UK-BKK in economy. Chivas

Just received latest update from Evergreen News for August 2006 and Eva are reducing air mile accumulation in certain classes. Down to 80% of mileage flown in certain classes of economy notable "U" class of which of my last 14 flights on Eva have been in. Mileage has been reduced in most premiun seats as well. Chivas

No charge on Etihad as have just changed mine direct with airline. It was a standard 3 month ticket. Chivas

As regards Car Insurance have just renewed my first class cover on a Toyota Vios after first year was thrown in free from manufacturer. Cost was 18,780 for a car in the showrooms at around 600k at one year old. This is only marginally cheaper insurance than what I pay for a similar sized/value car in the UK. Chivas

I'm sure people certainly can and do live on 20,000 baht a month but I personally cannot see the point of being in Los (apart from warm weather) on the equivalent of £65.93 a week. As you start to get seriously older PROPER medical cover alone will take this amount from you ?? IMO and I do respect that others have a different outlook but the minimum I would be happy with is 70,000 a month and I would need to be sure that this amount is "inflation/index linked" by whatever method, before I considered dropping anchor. Yes I posted on another thread that indeed Etihad will be a force to be reckoned with if they introduce a frequent flyer scheme. Further to other threads whereby Etihad customers were delighted to be finding multiple empty seats on their flights those flying in the very near future will find the aircraft well full. My return to Bangkok was to have been today on Etihad using the return portion of a coupon.I had to amend the date (FOC) and first available seat in Economy was August 10th which I gratefully grabbed. Hi, Not sure what Cheshire Tom may have mentioned Re Emirates recently recently however as a GOLD Card holder I can confirm that round trips LHRW-BKK attracts 19,338 air miles in any class of economy and from Gatwick-bkk round trip attracts 19,290 air miles in economy. 75,000 needed for freebie - ie 4 round trips. Chivas :

Pattayamad, Have you ever considered switching carriers if your airmiles are important to you (fair enough) ?? If you switch to Emirates and qualify for Gold card then each round trip gets you approx 19200 miles in economy no matter what class of economy ticket and Emirates tends to be cheaper usually, though not always. For each 4 round trips you then get a freebie. Chivas

Suggest you read all of the post numnut !! He didnt get two months for 7 cartons. He got 2 months after being verbally warned with no further action if not repeated,he then repeated it (with amount of fags unknown) and was given a written/final warning,he then repeated it again and so got two months. He would have got 2 months no doubt if he had 400 fags rather than 1400. He was over the limit - period. I'll see if I can pull a link to it for you. Chivas

Hot but normally overcast after around midday, with heavy showers which normally last an hour or so. IMO a good time to be here. Chivas

With reference to the post re seizure and jail, here in Bristol last week a gentleman received a two month sentance for breaching duty free limits with just 7 cartons of Bensons. He had been warned once verbally previously and also had details passport taken on another subsequent occasion. In coming from Abu Dhabi. Chivas

He's suggesting you dont put your true Thailand address on box(es) as is the normal requirement when shipping goods out of Thailand. How much ARE bensons when bought outside of Duty Free at airport ?? Chivas

I used my usual agent in Pattaya-my tickets are in reverse-Bangkok/London/Bangkok and was 34000 baht but you can certainly purchase for at least £100 cheaper if originating out of UK. Chivas

No-I was in economy. Any Gold card from Eva/Emirates wouldnt get me an upgrade on Etihad. The current inflight magazine mentions new innovations coming to Etihad-a frequent flyer club being one of them. Chivas
