It is 2011!!!! -
And another classic..... Metallica fans will recognise First saw the ANWL at the Christmas on Earth Festival in Leeds 1981...

Last time I did it, I didn't quite make the 04:30 bus..... it was more like 06:30 when I staggered away from a New Plaza bar and caught a motorbike-taxi up to the bus station Once had to be woken up after the bus had parked up at Ekamai!!!

Disturbing from the farang motorbike thread

That passer-by must have had a fairly decent camera considering the light conditions at the time the photo was taken, and looking at the oil leak under the car I would say it had been taken a while after it happened. -
What??? You get up at 5AM to watch a game of rounders!!!

Sometimes when I have been staying in Bangkok I have caught a bus down to Pattaya for a night out then returned on one of the early buses.... they start running again at 04:30!

Airbus and Boeing products running behind schedule

A lot of the posts on that thread are only speculation. Until the official report comes out then nobody really know what has gone on with those 777's. -

The A350 managed to gain more orders than the A330, so your reasoning doesn't quite ring true. Over the last 2 years Airbus has managed a net gain of orders for the A350 whereas the 7LATE7 has suffered a net loss. -
Still nothing from him........

What is interesting with airline orders this year is that Airbus has done much better than Boeing in the twin aisle market with the A330/A350/A380 compared to the 747/777/767/787. There is only the 737NG that has been selling well for Boeing. -

Didn't I? I find it funny that a team of techs from GE had just been working on the engines of D2-TEE at Lisbon prior to the flight and had obviously given it the all clear to fly. Yes, TAAG have had a chequered history and been subject to a European ban previously, but they must have done enough to gain clearance to resume operations into Europe again. Their older aircraft are still subject to a ban. So I haven't read the thread? -

The 2 777's with the engine failures are only 2 and 4 years old and were bought new, so have hardly suffered years of neglect. -

Funny.... I asked for a comment from BigD but as per usual Samsonite pokes his nose in... You say I might want to read that thread - well, I have been following that thread since it started.... -

I think I would chose the opinion of an experienced pilot over that of a retired postman with regards to the safety of a plane. -

Yet no comment from you on the fact a highly experienced Qantas pilot feels the A380 is a safer plane than Boeings in that situation.... And still no comment on the 777/GE90 engine failures!!! -

Here is a quote from one of the Quantas pilots on flight QF32 The full interview is here. Despite the damage they were still able to land safely.... And reading through the article the pilots biggest concerns happened after the aircraft landed, when they came to evacuate the passengers..... Fuel was leaking and one of the engines wouldn't shut down. Also it is interesting to note the pilots opinion of Boeings if one of them was in the same situation..... and that is a pilot with several years experience of flying Boeing aircraft. -

Notice how BigD keeps going on about the A380 engine failure, but hasn't made a single comment about these 2 Boeing 777 GE90 engine failures!!! His xenophobia strikes again!!! -

As each day passes the delay get longer and the cost to Boeing increases and so the profit drops and the break even point gets higher.
