Maybe it's because it's burst into flames..... Oh dear..... the aircrafts primary stucture suffered damage. They still have found out what caused the fire, they claim it was a "foreign object". As it stands the EIS has an indeterminate delay. All the 7LATE7 customers should start hitting Boeing with compensation demands. -

So why aren't you bashing Boeing for their piss poor quality control on the 7LATE7.... -
What? They all married the same one???

The fire damaged 7LATE7 gets ready to fly again! ANA must be fuming the test 7LATE7 involved is in their livery, and not Boeings! A case of bad publicity for ANA.... OK, so it's fit again to fly......but it's already added a 3 week delay to the flight-test program... -

It's just one of many excuses Boeing have used to blame somebody else but themselves for the 7LATE7 delays. -

Let's look at the 7LATE7..... The fastener shortage fiasco....... The foreign and domestic supply chain fiasco..... The incorrectly fitted fastener fiasco....... The body strengthening fiasco...... The machinists strike fiasco........ System failures after a fire fiasco....... If I remember rightly the Boeing fan-boys were expecting the Nightmareliner to sail through design build and testing without hitting problems. The programme is now running over 3 years late... It is now nearly a year since first flight and Boeing are still encountering problems. -

"Foreign debris"..... LOL.... Yet again Boeing use the slippery shoulder technique to put the blame on somebody/something else than themselves. The fact is Boeings safety systems failed when a problem arose. Electrical equipment should be designed to stop problems like this occurring. Things like short circuits and fires are preventable by design. -

Notice how the Boeing fan-boys have been very quiet about the 767 Engine fire that happened on a Delta flight over the weekend!!! And it suffered a "tail strike" on landing..... Bet there was some clean underpants needed for those passengers!!! -

Exactly Tom...... All BigD ever does is "cut and paste" anti-Airbus articles.... he never actually tries to debate about the topic.... -

The continuing saga of the Nightmareliner delays must be costing Boeing big time.... especially after the latest saga of the incendiary electrical panels..... It's already hit Boeings share price. -

Three quality airlines obviously failed to react to 2 warnings from Airbus/Rolls Royce. Not shoddy, but perhaps a bit careless. -
This one fine for me.... on my 20 Meg connection.

So the airlines have known for 2 years about a problem but failed to rectify it? That points to a lax maintenance culture at the airlines concerned. Surely their E,I,M & T (Examination, Inspection, Maintenance and Testing) process should have been modified to include those areas of concern. -

How about this article or this one An on board fire is dangerous..... That sounds like an fault condition has caused the fire. Surely power supply equipment should have been designed and specified to be able to react to large fault currents without causing fires. And how pathetic are Boeing for not wanting photos of the panels published in case competitors saw them...... If it means the electrical distribution system needs to be redesigned then this will cause another major delay to the Nightmareliner. -

The higher thrust Trent 972 variant is used on the Qantas and Singapore A380s. Luftansa A380s use the 970 variant. -

49 747s have been written off in accidents... 3% of the total biult..... perhaps that is no big deal to you. 148 737s have been written off...... perhaps that is no big deal to you.. The A380 didn't crash as a result of the catastrophic engine failure.... it landed safely. No body was injured but the way you Boeing fanboys are going on about it it is a real "big deal" One engine has suffered a catastrophic failure..... 6 have been discovered to be suffering from oil leaks. Surely these oil leaks should have been picked up during the normal regular maintenance inspections. Oil
