  1. Hopefully an Aussie heading over will bring some for you in return for compensation of some kind
  2. Agree with what you say, many great compensations of Thailand, Think what they would have charged in the UK for doing the stone removal

  9. I get to Pattaya once per year at Xmas, last couple of years i have stayed at the Sandy Spring and loved it, nice hotel and perfect location. For this Xmas (2011) i decided a change would be in order, did research and always found problems with hotels i liked, too expensive, xmas/new year special dinner costs etc. Then i thought about the Residence Garden offer from this website http://www.pattayapages.com/residence/ and decided to look at where it is and how far from certain places it can be, tried google maps but not a lot of good, however Photoguide was brilliant. This link
  10. Thanks for that, never been there and never given thought to staying overnight, appreciate your posting this
  11. Santander pissed me off so i ditched their Zero card. I now use a Halifax Clarity card which is fine but for my last trip i took lots of Travellers cheques which i brought for no commission from my bank which is LloydsTSB Martins money tips tell you which is best for overseas card use and here is the page, go down and read and make your own mind up http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/ch...l-money#halifax Not sure which Santander card your intending on using but one of santanders debit cards is listed in the cards from hell page http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/ch

  13. sounds good, thanks for the info, just doing a google search
  14. I have been looking at Etihad for my next flight to bangkok for heathrow but what worries me is the 1hour 40 minutes at Abu Dhabi, i don't think thats enough time in case a plane is late, they do say that 2hours 30 is what should be the minimum.
  15. Will keep an eye on these hotels for my next Xmas trip http://seamespringhotel.com/ Tripadvisor have no reviews yet, just a few photos http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-...el-Pattaya.html

  18. I did a couple of full english breakfasts there at Xmas and thought it was very good.
  19. I took T/c's this year for the first time, got them from LloysTSB at no commision costs etc Just found a copy of one of my transactions in my passport, i used Bank of Ayudha mostly, tried kasikorn once and she said my 9 year old signature in my passport didn't match that on the T/c's so she refused me. I took 200 pounds amercian express cheques and cashed them 2 at a time, this transaction was at a baht low to the pound if i can get T/c's from Lloyds at zero interest again then that's the way i will go and they can stick the 150 baht atm charge where the sun don't shine
  20. i have just come back and i was getting 46 baht to the pound in Pattaya, not good.
  21. got one from Emirates yesterday, Bangkok economy from the UK is starting from £544 http://www.emirates.com/uk/english/destina...t/from_539.aspx
