Hi

I normally fly Eva Evergreen LHR - BKK the cost for the last 3 years has been about £649.00 for two weeks in September

I cant seem to find anything under £1400.00 I dont know what has happened with ebookers but I cant afford to pay that

Have I missed the cheap flights already?

I dont think you have missed anything as I have been keeping eye out for last couple of months does not seem to be any deal around at moment going end of August beginning of Sept.Keeping fingers crossed maybe some show up later.

Dont know what Emerites are up to with their prices and huge change over times in Abu Dabi :cussing

For what it's worth, I found a new travel search agency yesterday, called Mobissimo.com, I believe. It's sort of a meta search engine for airfares. Check it out.

ebookers 1-15 sept economy £558 inc taxes

PHONE them up and you will get a better rate than online and this should inc evergreen

By the way since they upgraded to the new planes I dont think they call it evergreen anymore but I could be wrong. I flew economy 3 weeks ago as it was all that was available and it was very good - mond you it was less than half full so everyone had a whole row to themselves almost.

If you book for AFTER 6th Sept onwards you should get cheaper deals as that is the last day of the school hols i.e. the end of the peak price season.

I always use the same "agent" at ebookers and I can give you her direct number if you PM me. She ALWAYS beats the online price and usually throws in one night at Landmark BKK whcih you can take or leave but as EVArrives 15.15 can be useful for anyone not wanting to make the late run to Patts.

Last;ly and defintely least, you get Nectar points in addition to the airmiles - and she sorts both of those out for you as well if you are nice to her hahahah

you will get the best prices from the website:

http://www.evaair.com/html/b2c/english/

I just put in dates from Sept 8-23 and got 571 pounds Econ and 850 pounds Deluxe.

:3some That is EVA's own website/prices and probably the most expensive that you can get ! The quotes do not include taxes and fuel surchage rip offs which are currently running at about £130+ for deluxe/elite class and very slightly less for cattle.

  • 2 weeks later...

I have just booked EVA elite(evergreen) for end of October with West/East Travel for £760 which includes various taxes of £135 and c/c fee £15. :D

Just returned from Thailand with EVA. Premium Laurel is fantastic with an even bigger seat and pitch than before. Evergreen Deluxe has been rebranded elite and is a much poorer product than before with narrower seats.

If your budget is not quite Eva business class then i would do China business via Amsterdam rather than EVA elite

I went elite, london to bangkok in november and wasnt too impressed! There was slightly more seat space, but for the extra money it costs, i wouldnt pay it again.

Wish i had tried the "old evergreen deluxe" in the 747 though! everybody raves about them!

EVA is still flying the 747 from LA and SFO over the Pacific, with the Evergreen Delux class. I booked for early October for $1043 SFO-BKK-LAX through their web site. Could I have done better with a travel agent?

I just picked up EVA return £435 for a mate end of September.

I flew cattle class on EVA first time in April (always what they used to call Evergreen prior to that) and it was OK given the brand new planes and interactive entertainment. It was helped by the fact that it was less than half full so had 4 seats to lie on though.

While on the EVA topic dont forget to take advantage of the self service or you will just think the food is crap :) the self service stuff is great but I rarely see people using it.

You will see UK - LOS prices start to fall now but probably only those for leaving dates after 6th september, i.e. after the return of school holidays.

Some very good deals at airline-network.co.uk. Open the page and click on the fare/destination box on the right hand side. Am paying £408 MAN-BKK in Sept/Oct. LGW or LHR is cheaper. These prices for Etihad, Emirates and Qatar.

Surely China Air business would cost considerably more than Eva elite. :chogdee2

Not nowadays, provided you book the special China deal, which is in reality an upgrade with full use of lounges, full biz class seat and service, but only 20 Kg luggage.

Just booked my trip for November base price was $754.00 for Evergreen Deluxe / Elite Class. Total fare with taxes was $957.00 Damnit! Fist trip I took was only $50 in taxes. Blame it on George Bush for his Homeland Security and oil prices.

You guys want to make good for your trips do it now....The Evergreen Deluxe Fare will not be that much lower, if at all.

Gotta call EVA tomorrow and cash in some miles for 777 trip home. I want a sleeper seat, and not those Ergonomic Elite seats.

Just wait... They'll all be that way once EVA retires the 747 service in the next few years.
