I have used Mr Toom several times and I have to say that his service is reliable but ........ there are lots more operators out there who do just as good a job for less. Mr Toom charges 1000 baht from Pattaya to airport including tolls but many others only charge 800 not including tolls,I forget what the tolls are but I know it's less than 80 baht.

So Mr Toom bring down your prices or I will use someone else.

i have used the 800baht service from pattaya to the airport from another operator in pattaya, the guy i had pested me for a tip all the way from pattaya to the airport, he also wanted me to buy him food and drink and he didnt want to give me the change after i gave him 500baht to pay the tolls with. never had that problem with mr. tooms drivers.

Using Mr Toom this Sunday and yes 1200 baht including tolls.

 

Also going to book my return pick-up Pattaya to Airport at 8am,

last year booked my pick-up at 16.00 and his driver could not

find my hotel on Soi Buakaow,we noticed he pasted the hotel 3 times

but we managed to flag him down and we got away at 16.30 but

it only took 90 minutes to get to the airport so all was fine after a

bit of worry. Because it morning rush hour may consider bringing

forward pick-up to 07.30 just in case of any problems.

I used Mr Toom last week. Driver with sign waiting at the airport for my midnight arrival. Then scheduled him for a return trip with a pickup at hotel at 02:30 am. My flight was a 6:00 am flight. Driver arrived on time and return cost was 1000 baht. Service has been excellent.

Flight arrive 1605, 20 mins early.

My driver at front of the mob.

No problems on way to Pattaya, only a couple minor traffic delays.

Arrived hotel on Soi11 by 1820.

That's it, the dream is over again for awhile and I am back in sihtty UK.

I have travelled many times to Pattaya but this was my first time with Mr Tooms service.

 

My flight arrived slightly early but the driver was waiting and we were soon on our way.

I just gave him 1200 and everybody Sabai Sabai, no "give me money for tolls" etc.

The car was OK, a little old, but me 'Same same'

The driver was very imaginitive in the road works on the Chonburi Bypass and he undertook as much as he could in the very slow moving traffic, roughly 2 hours from Suvnarabhumi to soi 13 Pattaya.

 

The return trip same driver same good service, 1000 given and no give me more.

Not a Limosine but for the prices charged I am quite happy to use Mr Tooms service again.

Mr Toom is OK on standard car to and from Pattaya, but last year caused me major stress and problems which I didn't need anymore of.

 

Specifically asked for van/suv several days in advance for three people, luggage,a nd golf clubs. Trip from Bangkok to Pattaya with a drop off of two at Laem Chabang. Confirmed day before with Toom.

 

Of course a tiny littlle car showed up could even fit two of us with all our stuff. Resulted in late to course, wife in different taxi by herself, paying for two taxis which was more than a minivan would have been, and a lot of stress. Not a happy morning and no offer of recompense by Toom.

 

I had previously good experiences on the 2-3 routine pickups and have no problem suggesting him for the airport-pattaya run. I wish he had fucked one of those up, as I could have just got another taxi. But the time he did fuck up affected three of us, people as the golf course, more money for two taxis, my wife travelling solo with a bunch of luggage, etc., which has put me off ever using him again.

Well Whoops I f**kin do Mr Toom is a taxi service which "more often than not" does what he is paid for. Unfortunately if he doesn't do his job it appears that now that lostinspace has extended his family, alternatives are few and far between!

 

Luckily enuff I have now found my transport for this year but if it is not satisfactory I will let you all know.

 

As for Mr Toom, well congratulations, you are booked, you (more often than not) turn up, you drop off... not exactly rocket science but for some reason you are a hero on Pattayatalk, so kudos to you.

 

As for the 10baht business, to all those people who cry "its only 10 baht" I refer you to MM who stated that if one of his staff had done this he would like to know. Perhaps Roland did it as a wind up or perhaps Roland really is that tight, the bottom line is the 10 baht was not offered back to the customer and that aint right!

 

Anyway I am pist as a pist up person and just watched a so called boxing prodigy get his ass whupped... silver lining...I'll be in LOS in 5days!!!!!!!

I could never understand all this drama about transport to Pattaya from the airport.

Like, its not as if its the fuckin Krypton Factor.

 

I tell my hotel to provide transport, maybe it costs me an extra £2.50, no haggleing or fuckin about and the drivers standing there with a big sign!!

 

Whats £2 or £5 in the cost of the trip??? Is it worth the worry??

 

I've used Mr Toom no probs. Have him bookeked for my next trip. I'll confirm with him a week prior.

 

Equally, I have walked out of the airport with no transport booked and still haggled, in 2 mins, a taxi down to 1400Tbt.

 

Who gives a shit I'm on holiday!!

Mtr Toom, I used and my flight was 3 hrs late from Amsterdam, guy wating there patiently, gave him a 400 baht tip, took me to hotel no sweat, 1000 baht all in as per his adverts. Older Volvo , but not a banger at least. Will use him again for sure

Any other reliable offers ? I need a taxi soon and a mate too a bit later.. both in august..

I booked Mr Toom for June last year but I changed my flight from Singapore to AC at the airport instead of going to BKK and got a flight to BKK from Manila a week later.

I have used Toom many times without much of a problem. I found that if I emailed him a few days before traveling to re-confirm a taxi was a good idea.

 

The most important thing was to keep Toom's phone numbers handy when arriving, in case he didn't show up. I had to call him once and we straightened it out on the spot.
